Germany & Norway are big favorites but it has won recently. I can't see Denmark as the winner, every year Denmark is a hot favorite to win and fails (2010, 2011, 2012). I give some chances to Ukraine but not so many. San Marino even if it has the best song, and honestly this year the song of San Marino is just great, it can't win because the people don't vote as we everybody see, for tiny countries, the exceptions are Cyprus & Malta. So I believe that Italy will win this year. The Italian song is extremely different from the previous winner, also the singer is one of the most famous Italians singers, not just in Italy, he's a young singer and if Italy will win, then the contest will gain more popularity in Italy and the ratings will be very high such like San Remo music festival. Maybe Italy will spend some money to host the contest next year, but RAI will gain more money by the high ratings. Also it will be good for the contest, to have a winner from western - Mediterranean Europe. Also with an Italian hosting next year, I will have hopes for the return of Portugal, Bosnia/Herzegovina & maybe Poland to the contest. And if San Marino will qualify to the final, even if it will come last in the scoreboard, I will have hopes for the return of the other tiny countries, Andorra & Monaco.

Sweden was also favorite every year, and finally won.
So why not Denmark?

Yes, Sweden was a big favorite for MANY years (2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012), so Denmark has to wait a little...!

I'm sorry but if Italy wins it will be the most underwhelming winner of this decade

I think :dk: will win this year, with :de: and :sm: really close up. :sm: song is going to be a real jury-favourite and will probably win the jury, as i think this is going to be a new 2011 where almost everyone got 12 points and the winner was not really a winner, just the one with most points when it comes down to everything. :de: will get lots of televotes as she is famous in Europe and if they make a good performance (Azerbaijan-good) they can win again as Dusseldorf was really good. :dk: will get votes from everywhere, i think they are going to be 2nd or 3rd in both jury and televotes, but when it comes down to everything it will get most points and win as it is a song that is easy to like and it has a great performance and a cute girl. The question is if people is tired of the girl with no shoes singing about her destiny?

Since the Olympic Games in 2012 i would like to see what :uk: has to offer as an host

I think  has the biggest chances to win. For the first time ever I give my 12p to my own country. But I am trying not to be too subjective when guessing the final winner.
So why Norway?
1 - It is amongst the favourites in this forum without it being the typical esc fan favourite, Nordic electropop is not a typical esc genre - but even so, it has become a fan favourite.
2 - The visual performance on stage is important, especially for the televoters. And people really liked the white queen appearence in the Norwegian NF. 3 - Russia and ukrain, other definite contenders for the victory, will struggle to gather enough support for exactly THEIR song - in a year with several strong ballads, especially from former USSR.
4 - I feed you my love is the one song out of the favourites that I think stands out the most from the crowd.

I'm afraid your prevision is too rosy... I'm sure ratings could be higher than in 2011 (6,5%) and 2012 (7,5%), but nothing comparable to Sanremo's ratings (47-48%, with peaks of 80% or more during the victory announcements).

I do hope we get 2011 voting, because it's really sad that after 10 country votes we can see who will win.
Anyhow, I don't think :sm: can win, hell I don't think it can make top 10, same goes for :nl: and .

It will be:dk: :de: :it:.

But then again, I was the one last year saying Norway is going to be in top 3, and we all know what happend.

With an Italian victory, after some years from now I strongly believe that the TV ratings will be similar to the ratings of San Remo music festival. ;)

I agree but only because...Sanremo è Sanremo!

Sanremo is the most important music contest in Italy, I would say the most important tvshow because It's not just about songs...

And what if Azerbaijan will win again...? There's a possibility for me, because Turkey, a very big and important country, is missing this year from the contest. If Azerbaijan will host next year the contest, surely Turkey will be in and maybe it will be the answer of TRT's concerns about the "injustices" that the other countries do to the Turkish entries. Of course ESC will loose once again Armenia, although, next year after 2014 will be in again. What do you think about this?

I quite agree on that. Amenia will be out, but Turkey in!

And despite the fact that i don't really much like Azerbaijan's song this year, i have a feeling that it might win the whole thing.

I believe in a men's battle this year. Italy & Azerbaijan will fight for the trophy I think...
