I cross my fingers for Krut' then as it's probably going to be between her and Tvorchi then.

I would be fine with Go_A , Khayat or Krut' at this stage.

I predicted the jury vote in the final basing on their points from the semis:

Theoretically this can be the most bizarre jury voting in our history. With all 3 having 13 points and TVORCHI having 6-1-6


If Khayat changes his staging it can benefit him the most. So we can witness a 3-way battle for the top scores.
People gave TVORCHI a "credit of trust" and if they flop one more time the televoting can be different. The final has (twice) bigger amount of votes so that promo from popular bloggers won't help.
KRUTЬ screwed her chances with such running order. At the 5th hour of fight club, Hunger Games & drama porn ... many people won't remember her song. Especially if she flops vocally.

Vegan I thought was very messy though, lot of stuff happening that didn't really gel with whatever else was happening. Lack of focus basically. There's certainly room for improvement there.

I have no idea how to appraise such an idea. Instinctively it would seem that the whole iconography so to speak would become very racy and not without a sizable degree of queerness. Right now it's quite slick and poised and that seems to be his preference. Seems like a rather big risk, but perhaps it is what he needs to do. I don't know.

There's absolutely no way she scores more than 12 pts of the jury. That means she will be 3rd or 4th. Not sure that she can score #1 in televoting. The semi showed she has no diehard fanbase. She's not Melovin, lol.

I hope so. I don't want to place Ukraine at the bottom of my ranking. It has never happened and I wish it kept this way

For me it sounds like a typical entry from Serbia and Montenegro in 2004/2005/2006. The singer even reminds me of violin player from 2004 and the song itself reminds me of their entry from 2005 (I mean the instrumental, the horrendous vocals remind me of last year's cringe worthy Polish entry).

just watched semi 2!

the most noteworthy thing about it for me is actually how ukraine works differently from most other countries and it is very visible in how elina ivashchenko was treated. most other countries would be easily hoodwinked by her performance and advance her. albania would go "YOU HAD ME AT ARTSY TRASH BAG DRESS" and kill one elvana gjata for this mediocrity. but not ukraine. she got entirely lost in the shuffle for both televote and jury and failed. i love this country.

not to say ukraine is free of sin though because fucking david axelrod advanced. for why? it was atrocious. i am still certain he is a russian spy. that staging is very russian and his face suffers from a terminal case of the kirkorovs. INVESTIGATE HIM NOW. how could the jury do this to us? it's so infuriating that the televote was so fucking close between fo sho (who got a 3) and oleksandr (who got a 6) and we could have been spared this crap.

speaking of which, fo sho was brilliant and i am glad they got a good reception and are doing well on youtube even if they did not advance. black excellence.

the other two finalists are good of course. tvorchi was more black excellence and actually more fun than i expected for its staging, and khayat is the even gayer heir to max barskih's throne that we all deserve.

david has more dislikes than likes on youtube so ukraine is guaranteed to slay in eurovision for their comeback. vidBEST stays winning. i do think krutь is the wisest choice, though - her song has that "i am too good for eurovision" quality that juries should reward if they aren't dumb but it's also catchy and visually appealing. everything else, while amazing, has some bigger obstacle.

I’m having daydreams about Ukraine sending The Hardkiss with Жива, I loved their guest performance in the semi I totally would move to Europe just to vote for them at Eurovision.
But in all seriousness, I guess Khayat is the best option but my favs almost never win Vidbir so let’s see what happens.
