I´m more humble than you guys QwaarJet and LoveHate the years 2007-2010 especially 2008 is the main reason for my humbling. I was not even cocky in 2012 or 2015

top 10 is very likely

After some searches, I can say that Robin is doing very well on polls, odds so far, he is not doing too well or not too bad, and I guess it will be the same in the real Contest, he will score decent among both the viewers and juries and will probably finish anywere from 4th-10th. That is the feeling right now

I think that is a very likely result as well, although I would predict a result closer to 10th than 4th place. I believe Sweden will score high because of the slick performance. One can like it or not, but lots of people will undoubtedly find Robin and his boys both cool, handsome and memorable. So the stage performance will surely really help Sweden getting a good result this year. Just as it did in 2015.
Another swedish top 10 should be secured - but the song itself is no Heroes. And Robin is definitely no Måns. So I am not expecting Sweden to be fighting for the victory.
And as you said: this will score equally well with the viewers and the juries.

Agree, it will not win but it will probably achieve a good result (I can´t see anyone beating :it: at this Point)

This seems to very much fit the mould of a third-place song to me, so that's influencing my predictions for the moment. It's slick, catchy, well-staged and mainstream, but doesn't have a whole lot of heart or originality to it; in that sense, it reminds me of Popular and You Are The Only One, which is why I'm predicting it for a similar position.

While I don't see it getting the televote support of those two songs I've mentioned, Robin's got better vocals than Eric and a more coherent overall package than Sergey, so I imagine he'll come out ahead of them on jury scores. In the end I'm guessing this'll finish around 2nd or 3rd with juries, and maybe 5th-ish with televoters... wherever that leaves him will depend on the margins.

I suppose France and Greece will not give many points to Sweden this year, because his hand sign is an insult in these countries... :D

I am a little bit surprised, but Polish radio stations already started to play this song and it debuted at #80 in Official Polish Airplay Chart.

It is weird like Polish radio treats all those pop-swedish-crappy songs as a musical blessing. For me it's way to plastic, especially live performance. :(

Dancing moves - taken from Barei, Treadmill - taken from Zoe, VERY creative, indeed.

I didn´t know that Barei had copyright on those? already forgotten :mt: 2012?

With that kind of argument, We shall maybe forbid any kind of dance on the ESC-stage since we have had those things before and therefore can´t be used again xfacepalm xfacepalm

calm down, there was no word about that this was forbidden. But if you feel better, I rephrase my post: I personally am terribly bored by a pastiche of elements taken from songs from just one year before.

I don't remember Zoë using a treadmill at ESC. She used it at the NF, but on the ESC stage she was firmly on the floor ;)

exactly. but the idea was widely discussed when she - quite shortly before the first rehearsals began - decided not to use it.

Folks, forget my post - I would have deleted it already if you haven't responded to it. It was just an instant thought I wrote down - nothing worth discussing a lot. ;)

I was really angry when I noticed that yesterdays "daily update" video from the official (!!) eurovision channel was completely focused on the Swedish entry. Shouldn't the organizers at least pretend that they are "neutral"?

80% of the organizers are Swedes. Why should not they lead the cheers for Sweden?

The whole performance looks like a mash-up of what happened in the Austrian National Final 2016 and which was never seen, at least on my own accounts, ever before.

The treadmills by Zoe, the backstage entry by Vincent Bueno and the radioactive neon 1980's backdrop by Farina Miss. Vincent Bueno also used hoverboards to enter the stage, the same gimmick was then used by Mans Zelmerlöw at the Grand Final.

So as an Austrian, I am of course incredibly humbled and blessed that ORF inspired the mighty SVT with its ideas. In recent years it took Celine Dion, David Guetta and Matt Simmons, so I almost faint at the idea of our own inspirational powers xheat xheat

Well of course, this guy named Anton af Slingergaard (or whatever his name was) was the best buddy of the Austrian script writer (ESC2015CP), so maybe he got something in return for his help. Although our script was more contrived in the end than Petra Mede's in 2013, so I don't know why we needed that help.

Lucky that we did not inspire the fashion disaster though. Suits and bare feet in sneakers just hurt a fashionista like me.

It seems like all of the men of the world have forgotten what a sock is - causes me no end of trauma! Suits need socks with them!
