Three years after he brought Russia to the top 3 with “You Are The Only One,” eurovision.tv has announced that Sergey Lazarev is returning to Eurovision! Months of speculation about which road Russia would take after their first NQ since the regular introduction of semifinals have ended with one of the most successful and well-known artists in their Eurovision history. No specific date has been given for a song reveal; composers also remain a mystery.
Sergey went to Eurovision 2016 a modest favorite, and did win the televote; a still-strong but ultimately costly fifth place with the jury kept him off the top of the board. Perhaps his song this year will help him overcome his hurdle with the juries!
