Re: SLOVAKIA 2012

well, with an up-tempo song,a great show (it was a bad idea this year-to bring on stage a drumer ,it was very weird)...the song was good,if they had a show on stage for a ballad like Safura also had last year this would've been in top 10,of course, with a good draw and jury support :)
But Twiins have many great songs,I love Ego :D

Twiins have some good songs, but "I am still alive" isn´t one of them.
If they come back with a better song, they could qualify for the final.
It would also be nice for Slovakia to participate in the Grand Final.

I hope not, that cheesy stuff was imo the worst Slovakian entry ever.

If they would have an actual interesting song this time around then why not, they could take part again, they are good-looking and can sing.

If anything i'd rather have something in the style of "Horehronie", but with a stronger performer. That song is one of the most beautiful ESC songs period.

I don't know many Slovakian names, but my pick would be a group like Hrdza.

Haha *omg*

Well one lesson we should have learned from ESC by now is that girl/boy-bands equals flop.

And these girls... well.. no comment.

The second song was ok-ish though.

I really like the remix of this song! (can't find it on youtube though).

If I don't remember wrong, I think Peter already took part in Slovakian selection.

I meet him in 2007 when i hear his song in some eurodance contest. He was take part in the Slovakian selection, but unsuccessfully don't pass the next round

That was his perfomance on SVK selection SF1.

If they decide to go with pop something like this for sure would bring them to the finals.

"V sieti ta mam" is indeed a feel-good song, but if she couldn't manage with the FABOLOUS "Horehronie" I can't see her doing any wonders with a much more simple and anonymous song.

I'm still rooting for something like Hrdza though. I believe they can pull-off the "folk-pop" better than Kristina managed, as you pointed out she felt like she was a little out of her comfort zone.

2nd that!

I always said Slovakia should give it a new try! A folk-pop song but this time around with a more confident singer and a better overall performance.

"Horehronie" as a song was just brilliant imo, but the live-execution didn't work that well, but I stick to my opinion that in a song contest the songs are the most important, so yes it deserved a final top. 10 I agree.

Anyways let's look forward, I hope if Slovakia enters they won't send us such American cheese as they did in 2011, it's better to fail with pride than fail with something ridiculous imo.
