While news on the Belgian entry has been relatively quiet since the introduction of Laura Groeseneken as the Belgian artist for Lisbon, one more bit of information has been revealed – Laura will perform under her moniker of Sennek at the contest as revealed by broadcaster VRT!

“I have been making music for a long time under the stage name Sennek, which I chose because it sounds a bit mysterious. And the name also has a personal touch: it comes from my last name Groeseneken.” she confirmed to VRT. “It is very nice that I now also go to Lisbon under this name. Because I am so closely involved in all choices during this Eurovision program, it was a logical choice to take this adventure with my own stage name.”

Sennek has previously released live performances on to YouTube under the name, with the following two performances from 2017;

Currently it is unknown how or when the Belgian entry for 2018 will be revealed but Laura certainly has some big shoes to fill after three consecutive top ten finishes for Belgium!
