A few days into the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest rehearsals we had the opportunity to do an interview with Alika, the representative for Estonia, outside the Camp and Furnace Euroclub on May 3rd.

During the interview Alika elaborated on what the Eurovision experience has been like so far and how her dream is in full progress and she also gave a little glimpse in what the journey had been like up until now.

We also learn a bit more about the music she enjoys listening to and we find out why she thinks more teenagers should start listening to rock-music again.

Who is Alika?

Alika is an artist from Estonia who loves competing in singing competitions. She has previously won the Estonian version of Idol and she also participated in ‘The Baltic Voice’. This year she can also add a win in the national final, Eesti Laul, to her resume. She has many talents outside of singing including: breakdancing, rapping and boxing.

She reached the top of the Estonian radio charts with her first three singles: ‘Õnnenumber’, ‘Bon Appetit’ and ‘C’est La Vie’. This gave her a big rise in popularity within her country which she can now represent at this year’s song contest. Her Wouter Hardy co-written song ‘Bridges’ is the song that she is delivering us!

Estonia will compete in the second semi-final on May 11th and perform 4th in the show.
