This afternoon saw the final take place of Szansa na Sukces, the show to decide Poland’s representative in Eurovision 2020. Three acts remained in the competition following three weeks of performances, and the remaining contests performed a Eurovision winning entry first, before their potential Eurovision entry for Poland.

The three acts, and their covers in the first round were as follows;

  1. Kasia Dereń – Satellite (Lena, Germany 2010)
  2. Alicja Szemplińska – Euphoria (Loreen, Sweden 2012)
  3. Albert Černý – Fairytale (Alexander Rybak, Norway 2009)

After this, each act performed their potential Eurovision entry for the audience, the viewers and the assembled panel of Cleo, Gromee and Michał Szpak. Albert performed as Lake Malawi in this round;

  1. Lake Malawi – Lucy
  2. Alicja Szemplińska – Empire
  3. Kasia Dereń – Count on Me

After the phone voting had concluded and the jury had decided, the decision was unanimous and it became clear; Alicja Szemplińska won both voting methods and was announced as the winner of Szansa na Sukces 2020, and would represent Poland in Rotterdam with “Empires”! Albert and Lake Malawi finished second with “Lucy”, as Kasia finished third with “Count on Me”.
