As the suggester of this spin-off, and someone who participated in the last one, I'm a bit sad that so many recent years have been suggested this time around, and so few older ones.

IKR. Especially 2014. We are fed up with 2014 songs in all other contests, we have WV, FSC and NSC which are usually full of them. A spin off to escape from all this would be so good, but...

Exactly. New songs is what we have in almost every other spin-off and regular contest editions. Now, that doesn't mean that recent years couldn't be suggested. Of course they could. But I wish some would have had the sense not to suggest more, once they saw what years had already been suggested. In my opinion, there are far too many '90s years as well. This is why I went with a '60s year instead of my initially planned '80s year once I saw that 1980, 1986 and 1989 had already been suggested.IKR. Especially 2014. I just don't get what some of you have against older years. It's not like you're going to get the year you suggested anyway.
I'm not against new years being suggested, like I said. I just wish there would have been more balance and about the same number of suggestions for each decade, that is all.
