I think we are in the bubble of “Spain might do very well after a thousand years”, so we are enjoying the hype. Also, the fact she changes her outfit in every single performance make us wonder which will be the next one 😂

I have been thinking and that it has already made so many performances and that they announced that there will be improvements in Turin, I see the song ranking in the TOP5, not to succeed, but to reap a TOP5.

She is amazing and the song is such a bop, but no way this is taking the top 5.
But still, Chanel is an amazing performer and Spanish fans should be proud of her.

Spain winning the escnation poll (in the "all vote for all result") just proves that the entry is not being overhyped only by Spanish fans (as it has been often mentioned for being number 1 in the my eurovision scoreboard app), but also by the rest of Europe. I still think it's not a winning song, probably not top 5 either, but the way it's climbing in the odds, the results in the polls and so on is giving me some hope.

To be honest, if she can get a 7th-8th position it will be a step in the right direction, I just hope the juries are not too mean on her.

Seeing the "hype" around this one is ... uh let`s say interesting?
Hope people are prepared for a car crash because no way in hell this will end up anywhere near the top 10. Who is supposed to vote for it en masse? The juries? With those vocals? The public? Sure, because they just love plastic pop ... not.
With a bit of luck it might end up outside of the bottom 5 but I wouldn`t bet on it.

The hype is not only in the polls, some people are actually betting money on it (5th in the betting odds, and something it didn't happen since 2003). I always try to be realistic about the chances of Spanish entries, but it's kind of funny that you think this will end up being bottom 5. Maybe Northern european countries won't love this, but neighbours + all the mediterranean countries will give this high points for sure. If Miki managed to get 53 points from the televote with that outrageous performance I can guarantee you Chanel will beat this.

Hmm it`s not that unusual for Spanish entries to be overrated by fans and to a lesser degree by the odds. (similar to UK btw) Looking at one of the bigger meta fan polls and eurovisionworld/this lovely article by escextra:

2007: D`NASH were 15th in the odds and 4th in the poll - Ended up 20th
2009: Soraya was 12th and 2nd - Ended up 24th
2015: Edurne was 12th and 5th - Ended up 21st
2016: Barei was 10th and 9th - Ended up 22nd
2019: Miki was 14th and 15th - Ended up 22nd

Even Pastora in 2012 and Ruth in 2014 were more or less overrated beforehand.
So yea, I wouldn`t be surprised to see Spain finish (much) lower than fans expect right now. Can`t leave your bottom 5 buddies Germany and UK standing in the rain, ma dudes. The Unholy Trinity shall survive :lol:
