i never really liked Russia entries. The twins were cute but the song meh. The last entry i liked was the awesome Babushkis (and before... surely Serebro and Tatu)
Let's see what they're gonna bring this time but the singer (and his songs) is not making me very impatient.

This choice sounds promising. I found Lazarev an ideal option for Eurovision for a long time before. So I have a big hope for russian entry because now I can't see anything good to collect my TOP-10. I'm waiting for a good standard POP song - NOT so primitive as that Peace songs from previous russian entries

I have a very good gaydar, I've predicted several people turning out to be gay and darling this is a safe bet. Many gay people has had girlfriends.

Russia and semi 1... A long long love story
By the way, I'm already thinking about 2017 and, as "What If" and "A Million Voices" were successful, I hope those composers won't be called again tbh.
Personally, I liked "Shine", so without being particularly thrilled about what Sergey could come up with, I have good vibes.

It doesn't really matter, if he is gay or not. For sure, he was chosen with a clear focus on gay audience.
But I'm more interested in the song he will sing and the performance he'll give us. I expect a great show.

So nowadays every handsome man is going to Eurovision not to get votes of ladies and teenagers, just for the gay audience?
I think it works both ways. And it always did work. Just no one talked about it.
It doesn't really matter, if he is gay or not. For sure, he was chosen with a clear focus on gay audience.

I don't think Sergey Lazarev is gay (did he have some gay experiences and maybe even did something with males in order to get where he is in Russian showbusiness today? Maybe so... but I don't think he is gay regardless). Anyways it's uninteresting if he's gay or not... however any supposed motives behind the Russian broadcaster picking an act to appeal to gay audiences are still interesting to speculate about... I mean they have been picking "peace songs" to showcase a complete false image to the European audiences and counter reality, so it wouldn't surprise me if there's another cynical move this year after all the backlash regarding the LGBT "issue" in Russia and pick a "gay appealing act" to counter some other realities (= that Russia is becoming worse and worse for gays). Russia in ESC for the past years is just one big propaganda machine, who is the broadcaster trying to fool really? I just hope it won't be another song about peace... that would be just too much

I think Russia will probably place Top 5, I just kinda hope they don't win tbh. As a gay person myself, I would worry for LGBT people if they went to see Eurovision in Russia in current climate.
