I think it could be a good sign for Romania though next year..
101% certain San Marino will be back
Switzerland may make a return
Croatia will leave again
Malta wont leave..
The usuals will be tehre... Belarus, Netherlands, Ukraine etc...
but I am afraid that there will be another bunch of ballads lol

Well if the winner keeps going north then Switzerland should be next

I think it's results like that which really bring into question competitions like this. Overall she only had 1 point if you take away the 12 points automatically given. I know children are more resilient than people like to think but i'm sure it's really upsetting to see everyone reject something you spent a lot time working on, and is something you are really proud off. Especially in such a big event like this. While I took an interest this year, i'm not a massive fan of the JESC concept purely for that reason.

I think you underestimate children in general.

Online Award is cancelled. Good move by EBU, it's fair to majority of people, which were unable to vote.

Meh, :it: winning ruined my joy of :bg: getting 2nd place. :( The show overall was boring and annoying and most acts disappointed me. :am: or :bg: should have won.

Regarding Italy as next years host, the commentary on the web feed last year said that the winner would get "first refusal" to host the competition the following year, although they did not mention that this year, so that might not be the case for 2016. Presumably RAI would be invited to host it, and if they decided not to, then the old bidding procedure would apply.
The biggest problem for me with tonight's contest was breaking the 16 songs into 4 groups of 4 with long intervals in-between them, which broke the flow of the competition a bit. I thought all of the contestants did really well, it a shame that the online vote didn't work.

I wasn't happy with the outcome and with other bits of the competition. In fact I am glad :mk: didn't take part!! xshrug After the voting, I don't wanna hear about certain countries that do block voting, because the ex-ussr ones gave each other the 12s (Armenia got the most, with Georgia grabbing one 12) and bunch of other high and medium points. Good thing Serbia ended 10th, otherwise the results would have looked like the ones of the 2013 semi. Anyhow, I didn't like what was happening on the rehearsals with the technical issues, giving certain countries bad camera shots (Netherlands, Slovenia..) and having bad parts in the recap. xshrug Honestly, Netherlands looked a lot better in their national final, than here. And the thing is she was equally great, the choreography exactly the same, yet it looked weird. While I liked Malta's performance, I am glad they didn't win, primarily due to the heavy favouritism they were doing it to do a double.
Congrats to the winner. Not really fond of the song. I believe Bulgaria would have made a better winner, but then again I thought they would not do that well. I am glad I was wrong on that one, since I like the song. San Marino was the worst one for me, with Croatia coming close for that place.

I soooo agree! In the Dutch final it looked like a winner, tonight the whole package was killed by bad camerashots. Also the backdrop could have been a bit better imo. Malta was horrible, she can sing, but i cant stand her voice xD

I am notone to say anything about Malta thatis bad.... but it did seem like a Maltese NF....
the breaks were pointless.. I like 1998 and before when there were no breaks...
the songs should just get played... they dont stop a football game just because a TV channel has breaks scheduled... so ESC/JESC should be no different

apart from the breaks I believe that the show was AMAZING!!!! except the fact that Moira reminded me of Dr Death and the Toothfairy from 2001

Just because Italy won doesn't mean it'll be in Italy next year. The host country isn't normally the winner of the previous year's JESC, I guess it was a co-incidence that Malta was picked to host JESC 2014 (presumably before JESC 2013), and Malta ended up winning JESC 2013.

No the winner is the first option.
Anyway I didn't really like the Italian song but the performance was good. Bulgaria deserved to win though and I think that's what would have happened if they ahd a better starting position.
Lol at people claiming block voting. A contest with 4 countries from western Europe out of 16 and the winner was Italy.
The only shocking thing was Slovenia finishing so low, don't know why that happened.

By the way on a more negative note, Croatia and Montenegro had terrible performances, specially Croatia. I feel very bad for Josie.
Hopefully HRT won't throw a fit and hopefully they'll realize their performance this year was abysmal and that they were lucky to grab that single point.

Well:
Ukraine had best camera work at start. And the song. And everything.
Belarus had the nice song and the girl will become a flawless beauty one day.
Croatia made me burst into laugh. Engagement worthy of a North Korean.
Armenia had catchy pop. Liked it a lot.
Italy... Do they born like that? I mean, if I saw him on street I'd know he's Italian. The way he looks, moves, sings, everything shouts "I'm an Italian". Same about Mengoni and all other Italians I got to know by net.
Bulgaria 2nd? Such a boring song.
Russia got booed after getting 8 or 10 points (can't remember now) once. Does it become a tradition now?

The rest was just...meh.

Italy ruled tonight! Great winner, he completly blew the other contestants out of the window (and the others was still good). Happy with Bulgaria 2nd and Armenia 3rd! But what did I say about the moms (and possibly some young girls too) voting for that poor lonely and sensitive boy! ;) :D

Sweden should be disqualified till next year, did you see what the dancers were wearing? It was a disgrace to see Sweden having children wearing clothes so short that they look like prostitutes. It is sad to see that Sweden was the only country to have their kids making them much more grown up than the other kids. It is not the first time Sweden has that, but this is absolutely one step too far IMO.

I predicted this top 5: Bulgaria-Ukraine-Georgia-Armenia-Malta
Ukraine was 6th, so basically i have missed Georgia, instead of...the winner!
Italy wasnt the best one, but Italy was the best option for victory.

I was very surprised Bulgaria did that well .. I guess it was because it looked like Frozen.
Italy won because he was the only boy, I mean that stage was like 99% girls. I don't have much to say about it, I fear that Bulgaria won the televoting and Italy won the jury.

Cyprus had the best song with no doubt I can't believe it ended up at 9th place. I must say that the song was waaaay too good for this competition, that song would have easily qualified in the real Eurovision. Once again it was waaaay too good.
Oh well, Bulgaria has never done this well in any Eurovision thing so I guess it's positive :D
Ukraine had the scariest song ever, did Putin write it or something?!
Sweden had such a messy performance, everything was just a big mess.

Jury voting in this contest is just wrong, it's just kids voting and they understand the music they are hearing best. In Eurovision it's more needed, but absolutely not in JESC. It kind of takes away the purpose. As long as nothing as Candy Music ever wins again the jury can stay though.

Sweden should have ended up higher than it actually did

The song is great, but did you see the performance? You got kind of seasick just looking at the backdrop and it was some awful camera angles, and she was not very good live.
