I'm liking most of these! Are boy bands still big in Taiwan? I remember when I lived in Asia back in early 2000's, F4 and the likes were really popular.

Boy bands are definitely still HOT here in Taiwan! But since the domination of Korean Super Massive Boy Bands and Girl Groups like Super Junior and the Wonder Girls....It's been a little difficult for the Taiwan Music Industry to beat them, or even match their success. That's why these days we are not hearing from the likes of F4 and 5566 anymore! Korea is dominating and Taiwan is just finding it hard to keep up!! :D

Anyways, I still think Taiwan should just stick to what they do best...and not try to copy other countries. They tried it with the Lollipop Boys, which was clearly unsuccessful~~~

So were you a fan back in the early 2000's? Which songs were your favourite??

Meteor Rain was a Huge Hit!! It still is today...I think it has gone down in the history books as a Classic! XD So you're a fan of F4, any other bands or artists from Taiwan you're a fan of?? It's not very often that I get to meet someone outside of Asia that listens to music from Taiwan, so I'm curious! Ha~ ^_^

This time I'm very Curious to see how people will react to Ballads from Taiwan! Some people may find ballads boring sometimes, especially if it's not in their own language. For me Ballad is all about the Lyrics and the Voice...so it's definitely hard for me to like a ballad if I don't understand what that person is singing about! But if they can portray it through their voice, it's another story! So this time I'm wondering if I should be submitting a ballad into the June Entry. Listen to these three Top Ballads from Taiwan in the past, and tell me what you think! Are they pretty good compared to the ballads in your country? and most importantly will you vote for them??? ;)

1) RelaxOne輕鬆玩 - No Need to Wait不必守候

2) 丁噹Della - 你為什麼說謊Why'd You Lie

3) 石康軍Jones - 愛中飛行Love Flight

Do you think these three ballads are Strong enough to compete in this contest???

I was a big fan of F4 and 5566 back in the day, their music are just great! I also liked Harlem Yu and Penny Tai, but not as much as F4 and 5566. You guys have a great music scene there in Taiwan, it's just sad that Asians and Asian-Americans are passing them up and listening to KPop instead. They don't know what they're missing out on ;)

Very True! KPop and JPop are just dominating the Asian Music Scene now!! Even people living here in Taiwan prefer J&KPop over our very own music!! It's really very sad~~
It's also a reason why a lot of our current songs are starting to sound very similar to K-Pop music, as well as becoming very westernised. It's not necessarily a bad thing though, as long as they make it there own! I guess that's why F4 and 5566 became so successful~~
Unfortunatley these days boy and girl bands are just not doing very well locally and world wide!! ^__^ Don't understand why though, cos I love boy bands and girl groups! Can't understand why so people are against them! :D That's why I'm finding it a little bit nerve-wracking to choose a boy band/girl group song for the June entry, afraid that not many are going to like it!! Don't want Taiwan's first entry to be an embarrassment~ LOL! There's a very Cool New Girl Group out now in the Taiwan music scene though, I'm just wondering whether or not I should pick their song to represent Taiwan next month...or should I wait a while longer~ What do you think? I know it's silly to worry so much, I should just trust my gut feeling right?? Hahaha~

Della's ballad (nubmer 2) is amazing :D I would give it points.
I like dance music too. Jeannie's "Provocative" is great. Then, Elva - "Walk style" xheart
Thanks for sharing with us. I'm looking forward to your choice. Just choose what you like the most :)
