Just to let everyone know, I'm totally new at this....so I'm still not quite sure about how everything works around here!

I would like to post some of their songs, but they haven't had any new songs recently,
so unless they release some new stuff soon...it will be unlikely that we will be hearing from them in our competition!
Who else have you heard from the Taiwanese Music Scene??
I'm really curious to find out how many people actually have heard music from Taiwan before! ^^
I know Jay Chou is very well-known in the US, maybe even Jolin~
I'm hoping to introduce other artists to share with everyone, cos there are really good stuff coming out these days!

Hey Guys!! Just wanted to start off by introducing everyone to some songs in Taiwan for those who are curious and eager to find out! I cannot share recent songs from the past ten months, so I've decided to share some old songs from ten months ago with our FSC friends~
Don't be scared to let me know exactly what you think of the songs. What you like and what you don't like! There is no need to be polite~ lol. I wanna know everything and anything!! HA. and in return I will share my thoughts as well. The songs I'll be posting may or may not be of my liking, so it's very random!! I'm just trying to find out what everyone outside of Taiwan might like listening to~~ ^^
Your comments and suggestions would really help me a lot, as I am the only juror for Taiwan, it does tend to be quite lonely... with no one to share opinions with and gossip around!! hahaha~

This is my first song to share with everyone. It was released about 10 to 11 months ago, so it is already disqualified. It's actually his first debut single called "Heartbreaker" when translated to English. In Mandarin, it's called "附心漢" I'm not sure if you guys can see the Chinese symbols...hopefully you can, otherwise it will all look like hieroglyphics XD. I'll try my best to translate all the symbols for you....hopefully all the artists will have English names...lol....

Here is one more commercial pop song before I move into some punk-rock style music! This one is from the group called "Da Mouth大嘴巴" which actually mean Big Mouth! Ha! They consist of four members - A Dj, A female vocal, a male vocal, and a hip-hop/rapper~~
This group has their very own unique style, and it's the first time when they debuted their first album that we've seen such a variety group come out of Taiwan.

They are a very popular Rock Band here in Taiwan, with number one hits since their debut album in 2004. They have their Sixth album out now, and this track is from their second album released in 2005.
"F.I.R." is the name of the band....an acronym for "Fairyland In Reality" also for the first letter of each member's name! Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I do~~ This one is titled "Infinity"

He's our very own Soul/R&B successful artist here in Taiwan. One of the very few talented musicians of our time. Give him a listen and tell me what you think! He's name is Khalil Fong 方大同. He plays his own instruments and writes his own music. This song is written by himself! It's titled "Southern Accent 南音" from his second album "Soulboy" released in 2005.

She is decribed as Taiwan's Number One Dancing Queen! This one is the First Real Taiwanese song that I have posted so far. The others were songs from Taiwan, but not in our Native Language, it's in our official language called Mandarin! The song has a disco dance fever to it and some people may not like it. Have a listen and judge for yourself! This is her single released in 2006 titled "Provocative 嗆聲" Her name is Jeannie謝金燕!!

I'm not sure if any of you have heard of Elva, but she is one of Taiwan's Top Artists of the Century. She has become the second Princess of Pop, along side Jolin! If Jolin is America's Britney, then Elva is Christina! She has the Voice, the looks and the personality! She released one of my favourite songs in 2003 called "Walk Style 進行式" and also collaborated with this years Eurovision Act from the UK, BLUE!! She covered and dueted the song "U Make Me Wanna" with them! Have a listen and tell me what you think! This artist has had one hell of a singing career!!!
