The EBU has set the date for the semi-final allocation draw for Eurovision 2016.

It has been reported that the draw to decide which semi-final the 37 eligible countries will perform in will be held on January 25th 2016, in Stockholm. The draw will include the decision on which semi-final will see the first Australian entry to go through the qualification stage.

On this date it will also be decided which semi-final  four members of the Big 5 (France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom) and Sweden will vote in, as is customary. Germany is already allocated to semi-final 2, where Israel is also set to perform.

The insignia exchange, a gesture followed by all host countries since the idea was introduced in Helsinki in 2007, will also take place on this day. Each host city adds a new insignia to the keyring and will see the handover from the mayor of Vienna, Michael Häupl, to the mayor of Stockholm, Karin Wanngård. Sweden will be the first country to provide a second insignia for the ring.

Which semi-final do you hope your country is in? Who do you want with you?
