Bulgaria have done extremely well in Eurovision recently. After their two year break in 2014 and 2015 they came back with style in 2016 placing fourth with Poli Genova and If Love Was A Crime, then went even better in 2017 when Kristian Kostov placed second with Beautiful Mess. Equinox placed fourteenth with their song Bones, in Lisbon with another solid showing, but it seems that this run of great form from Bulgaria is be coming to an end, as Bulgaria has officially withdrawn from the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.
