BHRT has announced today that Bosnia & Herzegovina will be withdrawing after all. The broadcaster’s Steering Committee has made an unanimous decision to withdraw due to a failure to acquire the necessary sponsorship to fund the country’s participation in Copenhagen.

In their announcement it is noted that the broadcaster will do its best to ensure that its viewers get to watch the ESC 2014 broadcast live, but that participation will not be happening. This brings down the country tally down to 35, also only leaving three Balkan countries as confirmed participants: Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro. There is still a possibility that Greece and Slovenia will participate, and that Bulgaria and Serbia will come around and change their withdrawal. Hopefully, they will not have the same scenario play out as in Bosnia & Herzegovina!
