It’s another incredible action-packed Saturday in the Eurovision calendar, with a bountiful total of 6 songs selected tonight for the Turin contest. As well as these national finals, Melodifestivalen continues and the inaurugal winner of Una Voce per San Marino is crowned in the microstate’s ambitious and exciting selection show.

CROATIA – Dora 2022 (20:10 CET)

Croatia will hope to bounce back from recent disappointments in the contest this year as the search for a Eurovision star concludes this evening. Can any of tonight’s acts take Croatia back to the final they have been absent from since 2017?

The fourteen acts taking part in the annual Dora extravaganza this evening are;

  1. Mila Elegović – Ljubav
  2. Mia Negovetić – Forgive Me (Oprosti)
  3. Marko Bošnjak – Moli za nas
  4. Jessa – My Next Mistake
  5. Zdenka Kovačiček – Stay on the Bright Side
  6. Tina Vukov – Hideout
  7. Roko Vušković – Malo kasnije
  8. Bernarda – Here For Love
  9. Eric Vidović – I Found You
  10. ToMa – In The Darkness
  11. Elis Lovrić – No War
  12. Ella Orešković – If You Walk Away
  13. Tia – Voli me do neba
  14. Mia Dimšić – Guilty Pleasure

As with many selection, a 50/50 split between a jury vote and televote will decide the Croatian representative for Turin.

MALTA – MESC 2022 (21:00 CET)

Malta’s return to Malta Eurovision Song Contest this week has seen a staggering 22 songs performed on the stage, with sixteen now remaining for tonight’s final. The remaining acts and their songs are;

  • Aidan – Ritmu
  • Baklava ft. Nicole – Electric Indigo
  • Denise – Boy
  • Emma Muscat – Out of Sight
  • Enya Magri – Shame
  • Giada – Revelación
  • Janice Mangion – Army
  • Mark Anthony Bartolo – Serenity
  • Matt Blxck – Come Around
  • Miriana Conte – Look What You’ve Done Now
  • Nicola Hammett – A Lover’s Heart
  • Nicole Azzopardi – Into the Fire
  • Norbert – How Special You Are
  • Raquel – Over You
  • Richard Edwards – Hey Little
  • Sarah Bonnici – Heaven

An additional act is also said to be awarded a wildcard for tonight’s final. The winning act will be selected as the Maltese representative for Turin and go on to represent the island nation in May.

NORWAY – Melodi Grand Prix 2022 (19:50 CET)

After another marathon edition with five semi-finals, we now arrive at the conclusion of Melodi Grand Prix in Norway! Ten acts remain in the competition, with five qualifiers joined by five pre-qualified songs to complete the line-up.

Tonight’s ten competing acts are;

  1. Oda Gondrosen – Hammer of Thor
  2. NorthKid – Someone
  3. Anna-Lisa Kumoji – Queen Bees
  4. Farida – Dangerous
  5. Sofie Fjellvang – Made of Glass
  6. Frode Vassel – Black Flowers
  7. Christian Ingebrigtsen – Wonder of the World
  8. Maria Mohn – Fly
  9. Subwoolfer – Give That Wolf a Banana
  10. Elsie Bay – Death of Us

One of these acts will be chosen to represent Norway in the contest through a series of votes. First, four songs will be chosen to head to the Gold Final, where another vote will leave just two songs to head to the Gold Duel. Here, one song will be chosen to represent the Nordic nation in Turin this year.

POLAND – Tu Bije Serce Europy (20:00 CET)

Hoping to turn around their fortunes in the adult contest, Poland have prepared a new Eurovision extravaganza for us this evening, with a myriad of former participants performing alongside the ten hopefuls to represent the country in Italy this year.

The ten participants are;

  1. Kuba Szmajkowski – Lovesick
  2. Ania Byrcyn – Dokąd?
  3. Szlachta Sisters – Drogowskazy
  4. Lidia Kopania – Why Does It Hurt?
  5. Karolina Stanisławczyk ft. Chika Toro – Move
  6. Karolina Lizer – Czysta woda
  7. Unmute – Głośniej niż decybele
  8. Mila – All I Need
  9. Krystian Ochman – River
  10. Daria – Paranoia

A combination of televoting and jury voting will select the Polish entry for Eurovision, with the top three advancing to a superfinal before one is selected as the entry.

Alongside the above songs, there will be performances from Ell & Nikki (Azerbaijan 2011 and Eurovision winners), former Polish representatives Justyna Steczkowska, Blue Café, Kasia Moś and Rafał Brzozowski, former JESC winner Viki Gabor and participant in last year’s contest Sara James.

SAN MARINO – Una Voce per San Marino Final (21:00 CET)

The biggest national final in San Marino’s history is about to reach its conclusion tonight, with the nine established artists remaining in the competition joined by the winners from last night’s emerging artists semi-final. One of these acts will win the ticket to represent San Marino at the contest in Turin, where the little republic will expect to receive a strength of home support from the Italian crowd.

The acts vying for San Marino’s ticket to Turin tonight are;

  • Alessia Labate
  • Burak Yeter & Alessandro Coli
  • Camille Cabaltera
  • Cristina Ramos
  • Elena & Francesco Faggi
  • Fabry & Labiuse ft. Miodio

  • Maria Chiara Leoni
  • Mate

As well as the competing artists, Italian music legend and two-time Eurovision artist Al Bano will perform.

A top three will be decided by a jury consisting of songwriter Mogol, conductor and composer Simon Lee, radio presenter Clarissa Martinelli, former Andorran representative Susanne Georgi and BMG Italy managing director Dino Stewart. The winner from this top three will then be chosen to represent San Marino at Eurovision 2022!

SLOVENIA – EMA 2022 (20:20 CET)

After EMA Freš and two semi-finals, we are finally here – EMA 2022 culminates in a twelve-song shootout for the Slovenian ticket to neighbouring Italy!

The twelve remaining acts are;

  3. Manouche – Si sama?
  4. Leya Leanne – Naked
  5. BQL – Maj
  6. Gušti ft. Leyre – Nova romantika

Six “thematical” juries – which include OGAE Slovenia members, artists, songwriters and Slovenian media personalities – will have their points combined with the Slovene televote to decide the ultimate winner of the night.

SWEDEN – Melodifestivalen Semi-Final 3 (20:00 CET)

The Melfest train keeps going, with the third semi-final taking place tonight. As usual, Oscar Zia will take over hosting duties as seven more artists fight to go direkt til finalen – or at least, make it through to a later stage of the contest!

Tonight’s seven acts are;
