The Spanish national broadcaster, RTVE, has confirmed that Ruth Lorenzo will be the Spanish spokesperson for Eurovision 2023. She will reveal the top marks of the Spanish jury in May.

Speaking about her appointment, the former Eurovision representative quipped:

“The first thing I asked is: are you sure?  It is not the same to do a program that you do pre-recorded to a direct one. So the nerves are different”

As a reminder, Ruth Lorenzo represented Spain in Copenhagen, Denmark with the iconic “Dancing in the Rain.” At the time Ruth’s placement in Copenhagen tied for the nation’s best result at the contest since 2002  (Pastora Soler’s 2012 participation), with Ruth finishing 10th scoring 74 points including 12 points from Albania.

Spain in Liverpool 2023:

Blanca Paloma will perform in Liverpool is called “Eaea”. The song was written and composed by José Pablo Polo, Álvaro Tato and Blanca herself. Blanca won the second iteration of the revamped Benidorm Fest.
