Last week, the first semi-final of EMA took place, and with that 10 competitors became 6 finalists, and sure enough, this was the same that would happen tonight once again in Slovenia. Let’s have a look at what has happened.

EMA 2022

The format remained quite the same once again since last week, another 10 acts took part in the second semi-final, and out of those 10 another 6 would be selected to advance to the final, which will take place next week. Among the 10 acts tonight, we did find the remaining two acts that qualified from EMA Freš, as well as the 8 directly EMA qualified acts.

Tonight’s 10 acts were: (In order of performance)

  1. Mia Guček – “Independiente”
  2. Gušti feat. Leyre – “Nova Romantika”
  3. Klara Jazbec – “Vse Kar Imam”
  4. Vedran Ljubenko – “H2O Dieta”
  5. Leya Leanne – “Naked”
  6. LPS – “Disko”
  7. Anabel – “Tendency”
  8. BQL – “Maj”
  9. Hauptman – “Sledim”
  10. Eva Moškon – “Kliki”

Results!

Once again, since the format still remained the same, it meant that another 6 acts would be selected to perform again in the final. These were the announced 6 acts that qualified for next week’s final show:

  • Gušti feat. Leyre – “Nova Romantika”
  • Leya Leanne – “Naked”
  • LPS – “Disko”
  • Anabel – “Tendency”
  • BQL – “Maj”
  • Hauptman – “Sledim”

This means that a total of 12 songs remain in the race to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and we will know who that will be on the 19th of February 2022.

Slovenia was last year represented by Ana Soklič in Rotterdam, where she unfortunately didn’t manage to qualify for the final with her song “Amen”, she was internally selected to represent the country, after having won EMA back in 2020, before the contest was cancelled.

We now have 12 songs left in Slovenia, which one do #YOU think will win, and can 1 of them get Slovenia back into the final? Let’s hear what #YOU think on our social media sites or on our forum HERE.
