Tonight, Poland will also choose it’s representative for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Kyiv. Today, Carmell has found time to talk with us.

Hello Carmell

First of all thank you for your time talking to us. How are you ? Can you introduce yourselves ? What can you tell us about yourself?

Well, in a few words – I’m a singer songwriter who is up to the challenge of taking part in the Polish final for Eurovision 2017 and I’m all ready for the experience! I’m very happy I will be able my latest single “Faces” to the public tonight

Your song that you will be presenting for the national final in Poland is “Faces” . What can you tell us about the song?

The song is about many different faces we wear every single day – faces of love, happiness, lust, fear, many things that control our emotions. For me ‘Faces’ is also about love. Sweet and sour as usual, but always very exciting. It is also about a loving force that guided me through some dark times in my life. About angels helping me to find the right path.

What was the inspiration for the song, and did you write it specifically for the national final in Poland and Eurovision?

It wasn’t written with Eurovision in mind, no. I was working on my solo material and together with my management we decided that “Faces” would be the first single. I hope that thanks to my participation more people will hear the song.

What is your impression of the Eurovision Song Contest in general? Do you watch it every year? What is your favourite entry?

I watched Eurovision when I was a kid and at home we had this tradition that each year we would write down scores for our favourite songs. I think Eurovision has really gotten better as a TV show over the last few years and you can really find something intriguing and interesting. Last year’s winner Jamala really brought tears to my eyes. I also remember Aminata from Latvia and Common Linnets from the Netherlands.

Apart from the Eurovision Song Contest , where would you dream to do a performance?

I would imagine my performance at a remote tropical island where I’m surrounded by nature and happy people.

Has being on tv made you more self-conscious?

It definitely teaches you how to deal with stress and stage fright. Self-consciousness comes with age I guess!

What ís the best bit of advice you have ever been given?

Always to be true to yourself and be yourself at every cost.

What’s your biggest fear?

What will I wear on tonight? Hehe, I’m kidding of course!

If your life was a Song title which one would be?

My life is all about “Faces’ now – all kinds and shapes of faces.

Where would we find you on a typical Sunday Afternoon?

Enjoying time at home or at a nice cafe with my friends and family.
