Switzerland has voted in the OGAE Poll 2023 and did not give their 12 points to Sweden as the previous countries. Indeed, La Zarra from France snatches the Swiss 12 points!

It’s poll season, and the OGAE clubs all around Europe and the world are revealing their votes one after the other. France kicked off the 2023 Poll and Slovenia, Cyprus, Spain and Türkiye followed in the last couple days, all giving their 12 points to Loreen from Sweden.

But today, OGAE Switzerland is breaking Loreen’s 12 points streak by giving their 12 points to… France!

France’s first 12 points

France, who is represented by La Zarra with the song Evidemment at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, gets their first 12 points in the OGAE Poll 2023.

Here is the full voting of OGAE Switzerland:

  • France 🇫🇷 – 12 points
  • Sweden 🇸🇪 – 10 points
  • Finland 🇫🇮 – 8 points
  • Austria 🇦🇹 – 7 points
  • Norway 🇳🇴 – 6 points
  • Italy 🇮🇹 – 5 points
  • United Kingdom 🇬🇧 – 4 points
  • Czechia 🇨🇿 – 3 points
  • Slovenia 🇸🇮 – 2 points
  • Moldova 🇲🇩 – 1 point

77 people voted in the Swiss OGAE club, and OGAE Switzerland is the 6th national club to vote in this year’s poll.

OGAE Poll 2023 6

As of now, Sweden is still in the lead with 70 points, 20 points ahead of Finland who is second. Norway is still third with 43 points but France catches up very quickly being only 1 point behind with 42 points, and placing 4th at the moment.

A total of 819 people voted so far, but the full results are yet to be known so that we have a winner. These full results will be known around early May, just before the Eurovision Song Contest’s live shows gets started in Liverpool on May 9.

Last year, more than 3,500 people voted across 43 OGAE national clubs, and Sweden (Cornelia Jakobs – Hold Me Closer) was the winner of the OGAE Poll 2022. Looks like Sweden is up for a second victory in a row as of today, but things can still change!
