The Maltese broadcaster PBS has confirmed that Malta will be present at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest next year, as revealed by esctoday. Malta will be hoping to continue their streak of final participations in 2015 having qualified three times in a row, with Firelight finishing 23rd in this year’s final.

PBS has not yet announced which selection method will be used to choose Malta’s 28th entry but it is likely that they will use their popular Song for Europe selection like usual. Malta’s most recent Top 10 was in 2013 when Gianluca came 8th with “Tomorrow”.

Malta becomes the 19th country to show intent to perform in Austria next May, while most of Europe’s broadcasters continue their decisions to participate or otherwise.
