It’s only been a few hours since Malta confirmed they would be taking part in 2015 but already we have a date for their national final, and Malta are set to have one of the first entries of 2015! PBS has confirmed that the Maltese national selection will consist of a semi-final on November 21st and a final the next day – just one week after the country hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest – so that the broadcaster has more time to prepare for the upcoming contest in Austria.

More worryingly, the national final rules published by PBS also suggest that the entire entry may be changed if necessary following the end of the national final, so what we see in November may not be the same finished product we’ll see next May – an occurance normally associated with the Belorussian and Ukrainian finals.

Applications for the 2015 Maltese final will begin next month, on 28th and 29th August 2014. Interested parties may contact [email protected] for more details on these dates.
