Today, Lithuania completed the fifth show in their Eurovision national final and completed the line-up for the Pabandom iš naujo final on February 12th. This week’s semi-final was previously taped last month, and aired today.
Nine artists took to the stage in this semi-final, all competing for a spot in the final and a chance to go to Eurovision. All acts honed their performances, adding or removing elements from their Heat performances. The running order for tonight’s show was:
- Mary Mo – “Get Up”
- Vilija – “101”
- Urtė Šilagalytė – “Running Chords”
- Ieva Zasimauskaitė – “I’ll Be There”
- Augustė Vedrickaitė – “Before You’re 6ft Under”
- Rūta Loop – “Call Me from the Cold”
- Titas and Benas – “Getting Through This”
- Monika Liu – “Sentimentai”
- Moosu X – “Love That Hurts”
The results from Semi-final Two
After the performances and jury roundtables, the results were announced. Monika Liu won the jury vote for the second time (and with the same score of 58 points!). Augustė came a close second, while Ieva and Rūta both tied for bronze.
And once again, Monika Liu won the televote, earning 3,965 televotes, thus securing her spot in the final. This ended up being 2,800 more votes than the competitor who placed second, Urtė Šilagalytė, a surprise since Urtė was last with the jury. Augustė came third in the televote with 934 votes and also won a spot in the final. Rūta finished fourth in the televote, and with her cumulative scores, made it to the final. Despite Urtė’s surge in the televote, Ieva Zasimauskaitė held onto the last qualifier spot even though she finished 6th in the televote.
This means that Augustė Vedrickaitė, Ieva Zasimauskaitė, Monika Liu, and Rūta Loop will advance to the final and will compete against the four qualifiers from the first semi-final last weekend.
