junior Eurovision running order

The first glimpse of the running order for Junior Eurovision 2023 is now official. Spain’s Sandra Valero will open the show in Nice with “LOVIU” while The Netherlands’ Sep & Jasmijn will close it with “Holding On To You”. France’s Zoé Clauzure will perform #12 in Palais Nikaïa.

The Opening Ceremony of the Junior Eurovision 2023 was held this Monday and we got a chance to meet all the young performers from 16 participating countries. But we also got a first glimpse of the running order for Sunday 26 November, where all the countries will perform their song in front of thousands of fans in the arena and millions of people from around the world.

Spain #1, France #12 and The Netherlands #16

Towards the end of the Opening Ceremony, Carla (France JESC 2018) and Lissandro (France JESC 2022 Winner) drew the running order for France and then for the opener and the closer of the show. France (Zoé Clauzure – CÅ“ur) was drawn to perform #12 in Palais Nikaïa.

Then, Spain (Sandra Valero – LOVIU) was drawn to open the show and kick off the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest and The Netherlands (Sep & Jasmijn – Holding On To You) were drawn to close to show.

The rest of the running order will be revealed later tonight before the rehearsals kick off in Palais Nikaïa, this year’s venue for JESC 2023.

The Junior Eurovision 2023

This year, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Nice on Sunday 26 November at 16:00 CET. A total of 16 participating countries will sing their heart out to snatch the trophy. For the first time in the history of the contest, the Big Five (France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and Italy) will all compete at the Junior Eurovision, and Estonia is making its debut in the contest, which promises a very exciting contest.

This year’s slogan is “Heroes” and features superhero comics-style visuals, which we can also find in the stage design. Moreover, the pre-recorded live vocals will be banned for the very first time in the history of the contest in Nice. A move that doesn’t follow what Eurovision did in the last couple years, even this year in Liverpool.

Our very own Social Media Content Creator Melanie and yours truly (Arnaud just in case) will be in Nice to give you an inside look of the Junior Eurovision 2023 and make exclusive content with the competing artists for #YOU!
