Last night, the full running order for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 was revealed and this Tuesday, the first rehearsals kick off in Palais Nikaïa in Nice. Snippets are coming very soon!

Things are getting exciting in Nice! After knowing that Spain will open the show, France will perform at #12 and The Netherlands will close the show during the Opening Ceremony, we discovered the full running order later last night.

And this Tuesday morning, the first competing artists will get to set the stage on fire and rehearse their song for the very first time in Palais Nikaïa’s stage.

First snippets to come very soon

This Tuesday morning, the first rehearsals kick off in Palais Nikaïa, the venue that will welcome all the 16 participating countries, media, delegations, and most importantly fans.

Only 8 countries will rehearse today while the other 8 will do so tomorrow. We don’t have the full list of the 8 countries who’ll rehearse today, but we know that Ukraine and North Macedonia are part of it, according to the first photos that were published on the Junior Eurovision Instagram page.

Each country has 40 minutes to take the stage and rehearse their song. These rehearsals are held behind closed doors which means no media or other people can attend them or record them. Media will have access to the second rehearsals which will be held on Friday and Saturday.

But don’t you worry, the official Junior Eurovision’s YouTube channel and Instagram account will upload the first looks of all performances starting today.

The Junior Eurovision 2023

This year, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Nice on Sunday 26 November at 16:00 CET. A total of 16 participating countries will sing their heart out to snatch the trophy. For the first time in the history of the contest, the Big Five (France, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom and Italy) will all compete at the Junior Eurovision, and Estonia is making its debut in the contest, which promises a very exciting contest.

This year’s slogan is “Heroes” and features superhero comics-style visuals, which we can also find in the stage design. Moreover, the pre-recorded live vocals will be banned for the very first time in the history of the contest in Nice. A move that doesn’t follow what Eurovision did in the last couple years, even this year in Liverpool.

Here is the full running order:

  1. Spain 🇪🇸 – Sandra Valero – “Loviu”
  2. Malta 🇲🇹 – Yulan – “Stronger”
  3. Ukraine 🇺🇦 – Anastasia Dymyd – “Kvitka”
