junior eurovision 2023 nice

The 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest host city and date have just been announced, and we will fly to Nice at Palais Nikaïa on November 26!

After winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia with Lissandro’s “Oh Maman!”, France will host once again the Junior Eurovision only two years after hosting it for the first time in 2021.

And this time, the EBU chose not to host the contest in Paris as the 2021 Junior Eurovision was, and decided to go in the South of France, particularly the famous French Riviera in Nice.

We also get the date of the event so mark your calendars because Junior Eurovision 2023 will take place on Sunday 26 November. It’s earlier than the last two editions of the contest which were held in December.

Logo and slogan to be revealed soon

This year’s Junior Eurovision will therefore be held in the city of the French Riviera at Palais Nikaïa, a venue that can host up to 9,000 people. Palais Nikaïa is bigger than La Seine Musicale where was held the 2021 Junior Eurovision in Paris, which can host up to 6,800 people (for the biggest room).

For the record, Junior Eurovision 2021 was intended to be held in another city than Paris, including Nice, but due to the Covid situation back then, the EBU decided to choose the French capital as the host city.

Now that we know the host city and the date, we will have to wait for the logo and the slogan, which will be revealed “later this year”. Moreover, tickets information will be announced in a couple weeks or months, but don’t expect it before Eurovision 2023.

“We are delighted to return to France for the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest just 2 years after a spectacular hosting in Paris. The team at France Télévisions have the experience, vision, and passion to create something truly magical in Nice this November and we look forward to working with them in the coming months on another exciting show.”
