Tonight, the Belgian National Final, Eurosong 2014, took place in Antwerp where 6 acts were battling it out to become the Belgian 2014 representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Broadcaster VRT went all out with a rather elaborate selection which included televised castings as well as three Semi Finals. In the end it came down to these artists and songs:

Eva Jacobs – Nothing Is Impossible
Udo – Hero (In Flanders Fields)
Yass – Need You Tonight
SIL – What’s The Time In Tokyo
Axel Hirsoux – Mother
Bandits – One

After the jury and voting results were tallied up, Belgium found a winner and it’s Axel Hirsoux. He will perform the song “Mother” in Copenhagen on May 6th (Semi Final 1) hoping to qualify for the Final show on Saturday, May 10th.
