In December, she became one of the very first acts to be revealed to take part in Turin, but she is one of the last to reveal her song. Better late than never, cause we finally have the song for Greece. The song title is “Die Together” and will be performed by Greek-Norwegian singer, Amanda Tenfjord.

Greece in 2022

In recent years, Greece has attempted a bit of everything, except a national final. Last time the Greek national broadcaster (ERT) last held a proper national final was technically in 2013 (Actually in 2015, but back then it was NERIT, complicated story). Anyhow, since then, Greece has suffered from mixed results, which includes some of the worst placements in the final and even a few non-qualification results. The country had fallen hard from it’s grace that it had since the 2000’s. However, things changed last year after Stefania successfully represented the country in Rotterdam with her song “Last Dance“.

For this year, Greece is going a very similar route. The Greek broadcaster has once again aimed for a Greek singer from the Greek diaspora. Unlike last year, when they picked someone from the actual host country of the annual contest, they’ve gone North, rather than South. The final decision fell on Greek-Norwegian singer Amanda Tenfjord, after she was shortlisted among a total of 6 artists, which even included Ilias Kozas who represented Greece in 2013.

Amanda‘s song is even composed by a Greek-Norwegian team and the song is titled “Die Together“. She moved to Norway at a very young age, began focusing on a musical career after being in class with another popular Norwegian artist and even started on medical studies in 2015. If Amanda sounds like an interesting person, you can learn more about her by clicking here.

During the allocation draw in January, it was decided that Greece will participate in the second half of the first semi-final, which will take place on the 10th of May 2022, in Turin, Italy.

Now that we finally know the Greek song, what do #YOU think about it and do #YOU see Greece getting another top 10 placement this year? We’d like to hear from #YOU on our forum HERE or any of our social media sites.
