Hosts, entries and history updated
It is not a shocker that the Congratulations in Frisköptislæting will be hosted by one of the most beloved Griffin celebrity families – the Griffins. Call them actors, reality stars or cartoon characters, but members of the Griffin family are very successful, best known as stars of the very popular Griffin television semi-reality series Family Guy. The show is set in the city of Quahog, and exhibits much of its surreal and dark humor in the form of metafictional cutaway gags that often lampoon Griffin culture. Since its premiere, Family Guy has been widely acclaimed. The series has been nominated for 12 Ý Awards (Griffin version of Emmy Awards), and has won three of them. The series has also attracted criticism and controversy for its offensive content, violence, and writing.
Peter is the father of the Griffin family, a stereotypical blue-collar worker. Leader of the Griffin family, he is Pyreican-Griffin. Peter is also an obese and bespectacled man who is just a big child. He has other roots beside his Pyreican ones, including Tybaltevan, Solentoyan, Arkodrian, Tanoiran and Svobodnian. In the season four episode "Petarded", Peter takes an IQ test, and discovers that his low intellect places him in a category slightly below mentally retarded, but higher than a creationist. He is incredibly jealous of other attractions Lois has in her life, an attitude that tends to get out of hand in most cases, even assaulting a whale that kissed Lois at SeaWorld. In the season three episode "Stuck Together, Torn Apart", Peter and Lois split up because of Peter's jealousy only to discover that Lois has the same character flaw and the two decide to live with their mutually jealous nature. Peter has a very short attention span and frequently ends up in bizarre situations, as Chris points out in "Long John Peter",
Lois Patrice Griffin (née Pewterschmidt) is the mother of the Griffin family. Lois's morals are often questionable, as she went through a brief period of kleptomania in the episode "Breaking Out Is Hard to Do", for which she went to prison. She also showed a gambling addiction when the family went to an casino in "The Son Also Draws" during the first season. Various episodes have hinted that Lois is an avid drug user, but this is shown most clearly in "Deep Throats", where she revealed that she smoked marijuana when she was pregnant with Stewie. Also, when asked by Peter where she got a tattoo on her lower back, she replied, 'Oh, I don't know Peter, meth is a hell of a drug' ("Prick Up Your Ears"). When Meg is thought to have become pregnant, Lois tells her to "smoke and drink a lot" (when Meg does not want to have an abortion, which Lois hinted at beforehand) "but don't start, then chicken out halfway throughout the pregnancy, 'cause then you'll wind up with Chris," which implies she smoked and consumed alcohol while pregnant with Chris.
WLSC history revisited
Full lists of editions, winners, and anniversaries are finally available! Wisit the Waiting List Song Contest WIKI (link) to see how did the contest change through its 200 editions long history. Unfortunately, a lot of information is lost, so some editions are lacking and Congratulations 3 and 4 don't have full results, but we would be happy if you could help us with your exclusive information.
Up to the Waiting List Song Contest 201 there were 80 different winning countries. The most successful nation has been Solentoya with 19 wins so far, with Moisantia following them closely with 15 victories. Out of those 80 countries, 41 won only once. The first winner came from Griffin Empire, and the most current one is from Bigicia.
