The kingdom of Bigicia welcomes you back to its lands! Many things have changed since the last time you've all been here, the process of democratization is in full swing, the new heir presumptive Majlinda of Arkodrë is quickly adapting to her role and the first democratic government of the nation is working tirelessly on compiling the first Constitution.
This edition we will dive deep and explore the dualism that characterizes many aspects of the Bigician culture, religion and society. There are two distinct ethnic groups living together in the realm, the Beto-Gerans (who, despite their differences in the past, have slowly merged as one culture throughout the middle ages and modern era) and the more contrasting Ciupean culture, who stubbornly survived against all odds.
To honor both cultures, the Minister of Culture Bauron Masoud, 1st Count of Moldir, decided that the contest will be held in not one, but two cities who could not be more different than each other. The first city we will visit is Meridia who, under the luminous patronage of the goddess with the same name, shines bright and is full life and colour. The city of Meridia will host the show, in the Royal Hall, close the Cathedral of Light, where our artists will perform to everyone's delight. All the suspense of the results will be gifted to the goddess Nocturnal, Mistress of Shadows and the Lady of Luck, as we'll travel to the shrouded city of Cyvrasil to find out who won the 220th edition of Waiting List Song Contest. The duality of Meridia and Nocturnal will thus be fully cherished and embraced in a grand celebration!
