this semi is a lot harder than semi 1 to predict. i had those 10 before rehearsals



after rehearsal, i feel the only locks are the first four. the others could all be blindsided, with norway and serbia still very realistic qualifiers and maybe even an outside chance for ireland (and san marino? please?). croatia i thought would put more of a fight before rehearsals, but then it committed the fatal mistake of taking itself seriously, so i think it died. but really only malta and lithuania are truly out.

i mean i DID know estonia COULD be blindsided, but................. NO I WAS NOT EMOTIONALLY READY I *WAS NOT* ;_;

croatia was over the top enough that it was reasonably predictable after the performance but it still doesn't make it any less infuriating because i don't think it's funny anymore. other than that i did think norway was very likely and they made it over macedonia. 8/10 again isn't bad!

Final prediction....

8/10 ... Estonia.... We screwed over almost everyone's prediction for the second year in a row haha. Left out because I thought it would be forgotten but oh well, I guess I get it. And I think is jury bait similar to the last semi and I had a feeling that they would get through, was just a lot of wishful thinking oops, though I did think it stood out. But I'm still happy w/ my prediction. It was pretty tough.

I thought Serbia would be saved by the diaspora and I didn't expect Estonia to be so bad live on stage. I can understand that it didn't qualify.
Croatia surprised me and I even voted for it myself.
I've completely underestimated Belarus.

I will have to approach this differently and think about which countries I DON'T think will qualify.

Next tier (getting harder to find reasons to exclude, these still have a legit shot)

Macedonia

Next tier (I want these in the final, but I need two more NQ's)
Norway
Switzerland

My guess is the rest qualify, but Bulgaria and Romania are the only ones I would genuinely be surprised about not qualifying.

So I had Norway as a NQ instead of Estonia.
