I really, really hope that Eurovision's popularity in Italy will continue to grow. Italy is bound to win Eurovision in the next 10 years!

2.700.000 is the peak for Kasia's performance.

For whole the show this is:
TVP1 - 1.752.000 (13,2%)
TVP Polonia - 113.000 (0,9%)
total - 1.865.000 (14,1%)

And this is worse result than 1st semi last year without Poland - total number of viewers was 1.960.000.
Viewership for 2nd semi of 2016 is so much higher - 3.842.000.

Anyway, the competition on the market was really high, because TVP2 showed very popular soap-opera at the same time and TVN showed the final of their popular reality-show + there was a semi final of UEFA Champions Leauge.

TVP1 - 2.726.000 (24,9%; Kasia's performance 3.100.000, and peak was 3.200.000 - Austriala, lol)
TVP Polonia - 115.000 (1,4%)
Total - 2.841.000 (26,3%)

2nd semi:
TVP1 - 1.300.000 (10,5%)
TVP Polonia - 101.000 (0,8%)
Total - 1.401.000 (11,3%)

This is the weakest result since we came back, here are the numbers for finals (only TVP1):
2014 - 4.626.000
2015 - 4.460.000
2016 - 4.593.000

Anyway, one of the reasons can be a viewers back flip from TVP during last months. Ratings for all TVP channels are getting lower and lower every week due to political reasons (TVP is now a very offenisive pro-government propaganda channel and many people dislike it, so they just don't watch it anymore).

Yes... and that's usually the case with MF, as long as I remember it was always a bigger deal for most Swedes than Eurovision, I think we might be the only country where the national selection is bigger.

Oh yeah, there's obviously Sanremo too, although the relationship between Sanremo and Eurovision is slightly more blurry, so although it can be currently considered a national selection for ESC, it's not as clear as with MF.

Yeah I know, that because Eurovision was absent from Italian culture for a long time until very recently. Even back then Eurovision got attention from the Italians, Sanremo was always the main course.

But before Italy was absent from Eurovision, Sanremo functioned as a NF for Italian entries even if most Italians doesn't cared for Eurovision itself.

Actually in Estonia our national selection was also more watched. Eesti Laul final had 290k viewers but Eurovision Semi 2 had 248k and final 135k.

It looks like these numbers indicate how many people have streamed the videos of the shows.
"万" means ten thousand, so "210.8万" means 2.108 million. Semi 2 has 9.521 million and the grand final has only 305 thousand viewers.

On top of the page it says that the total viewership is 12.766 million.
