Maybe a dark horse this year will be Melody. Limitations aside, she's giving it her all and the song is song is engaging. I think Bubble will elect her as their annual diva. She very much reflects Bubble's wet desires.

For me, it is a big mystery. They could do so much better.
Spain has an amazing musical scene. Even with a B league singer, they could shine in Eurovision. The show is popular there, the ratings are good every year..
It is all about RTVE team, right?

I strongly wish our entry for this year tanks in Basel so that RTVE realizes how they're focusing Benidorm Fest. The main reason why Melody won was the strong televote from the mid-aged LGBTQ+ community whose main interest are nostalgic diva songs. This is the main reason why men/ballads have struggled to win BF so far. Besides this, Melody has been known here for years so she may have received as well 'fame votes'.

My opinion is that RTVE has failed to attract wider age ranges to BF and that has been felt the most this year. Maybe with younger audiences JKabello would have swept the rest with a modern and fresh song that could top any chart here in Spain. RTVE has the job of ditching the belief that Eurovision-related things are exclusively devoted for LGBTQ+ people, which is unfortunately the case here... Only then we'll manage to enlarge BF audiences.

BF should be given another year or two, and if it only manages to produce 2 more flops as winners then it should be axed. In my opinion.
Better off doing an internal selection with a new, skilled team in charge of it. There would be a better chance of a competitive entry them IMO.

Nobody listens to this kind of songs anymore. They are not even produced anymore, but Spain managed to do it.

Still haven't forgiven the producers for taking the majority of the soul from the production of this one, and I'm so concerned that the fun is going to be sucked out of the performance too with Melody mainly just faffing around from left to right - give us the kitchen sink back please girl, helicopter hair and all!

I'll still bop to it on the night, but will quickly pop back to watching the Benidormfest performance immediately after the ESC final.

She is a great person when it comes to all the promo stuff - there's no doubt it will win her some fans, but I just don't know if the general public will get as excited on the night.
