Outstanding performances over the years

What do you think are the most outstanding performances in ESC history? I'm not talking about just a great song, but performances on the stage that left you amazed and that you will never forget.

Serbia 2007 was amazing, gave me the chills. Ukraine 2007 was the most entertaining show ever, loved it. Greece 2005 had a great choreography and I still remember some of their little gimmicks.

Some oldies I remember are Yugoslavia 1990 (so Marylin Monroe), Israel 1998 (a classic)

And going back even further in time....Germany 1980 (those clowns....), Germany 1979 (epic Dschinghis Khan), U.K. 1976 (cute choreography) and U.K. 1968.....

I'd like to point a (vocal) performance that standed out not because it was not beautiful but, actually, a train wreck:

The best performance ever was imo Finland 2006. Hardly, anyone will beat that one. Romania 2005, Malta 2005, Ukraine 2004 are also some of the great ones.

Yes, I agree with you word by word til Germany 1979. I would only add 'Lordi' back in 2006, they were surely memorable and completely different from anything else Eurovision audience had seen before

Norway 2010 and United Kingdom 2009 for me, as much as love pop music and dance tracks, there's something about these big ballads that just makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand-up!
