Performed by: Tooji
Lyrics by: Tooji, Pelle Boström, Figge Boström
Composed by: Tooji, Pelle Boström, Figge Boström
Language: English

I hear music as I walk down the street
Start moving to the rhythm, heart is pumping the beat
I hear the people shout out
Turn up the music louder
Better start running if you can’t stand the heat

What’s it doing to me, I feel it set me free
It’s like I’m losing all control
You know it’s making me hot, and baby I don’t stop
It’s like a fire in my soul

I don’t know what I am doing tonight
But this rush it is making me stronger
I don’t know if it’s wrong or it’s right
But I know: I want you to
STAY, nanananana
STAY, nanananana

My heart beats faster as I’m scanning the crowd
My meters are peaking, I can tell you’re around
It’s like I’m on a high now
Nothing can pull me down now
Sirens are calling and I can’t kill the sound

What’s it doing to me, I feel it set me free
It’s like I’m losing all control
You know it’s making me hot, and baby I don’t stop
It’s like a fire in my soul

I don’t know what I am doing tonight
But this rush it is making me stronger
I don’t know if it’s wrong or it’s right
But I know: I want you to
STAY, nanananana
STAY, nanananana

Work it, move your body baby, you better work, you better work, come on now

Work it move your body baby, you better work, you better work

I don’t know what I am doing tonight
But this rush it is making me stronger
I don’t know if it’s wrong or it’s right
But I know: I want you to

Stay (I don’t know what I am doing tonight)
But this rush it is making me stronger
I don’t know if it’s wrong or it’s right
But I know: I want you to
STAY, nanananana
STAY, nanananana

I doubt that will ever happen (due to the "kitch"-reputation the ESC has here in Norway), but Tromsø is a small city, I know people who knows Røyksopp, I'll pass on the request ;) Maybe they can team up with Lene Marlin and Espen Lind as well :D

If you do and they go to ESC you'll easily be my new favourite forum member

Re: NORWAY 2012

I would like Christine Guldbrandsen to give it another try. I thought she was incredibly undermarked in 2006 with a fantastic song.

NRK is already sarch for the next year's representative.

You can send your song to NRK. You must be 16 years old, your song must b e under or exactly three minutes long and not prevously published. You don't have to perform the song you have submitted, NRK has rights to find an artist to perform that song.

Re: NORWAY 2012

^^ I actually love this song  (Far Away). I think it would've done quite well in ESC.

If Norway could be represented by Doctor Midnight & The Mercy Cult, I would be utterly proud, but I would settle for Kvelertak as well :)

Re: NORWAY 2012

I think something like Vardlokk would e amazing. And this time in norwegian please.

I never liked Alvedansen, but when I heared Vardlokk for the first time i just simply wanted to go on some norwegian fyord and to stare at the beautiful Norwegian sea, eating norwegian salmon

Take my advise, dear norwegians, and send something like Vardlokk next year. xmusic

Re: NORWAY 2012

I don't think any country should use ESC to promote their country as a tourist destination. Vardlokk was, like Alvedansen, very ethnic Norwegian, the only problem is that not many people listen to that sort of music over here, it's hoplessly old fashioned, and would do better promoting the Norwegian Pavillion at the Disney World Epcot center rather than represent Norway in the ESC. We have some really cool music coming from here that's up to date, and that would be a lot more interesting than sending outdated folksingers with blonde hair and fairytale dresses. We have seen that already, it would be like Sweden sending yet another song with barking saxophones and Carola, Kiki, Lotta or Charlotte yelling against a windmachine. Some people would really like to see that - again - but that doesn't level up the contest or make the show more interesting musicwise, or in any way at all. I a pro all songs that gives the contest a new dimension, songs that the whole of Europe can like and vote for, and Norwegian folk music is way past expiration date, something the very few votes "Alvedansen" got is a great example of. It was just to ethnic. Look at other songs the last few years, all the really, really ethnic songs flop one after another.
