The singer identifies as ethnically Russian? She's technically Moldovan with Ukrainian origin... I am not sure why there should be an issue with that though? That's how Moldova looks like demographically, they have ethnic Romanians, Ukrainians and Russians.

The issue is more about Kirkorov who is a Putin friend and ally, but the scenario with Belarus is not even comparable. Moldova isn't currently torturing and imprisoning peaceful protesters en masse?, sure the current Moldovan government has questionable allies but if being a Russia ally is enough for criticism then half of the Balkans, Greece, Germany and some other countries should be criticized as well, but that's stretching it a bit too far no?
