I'm looking forward to Eurovision being hosted in Italy next year.

As I said before, Italy was not my favorite to win but maybe I was a little bit too harsh. Måneskin seemed really likeable when they won.
Italy has sent many good songs in recent years and had come very close to winning more than once. It really seems deserved for Italy finally to win again.

For what it's worth, I didn't hate the song as much as before when I heard it again today, so I can make peace with Italy winning although I had other favorites during the show. So for me it's not a disaster like Netta winning, it's just a matter of having preferred different entries. It might not be my favorite genre but I think they are competent in what they are doing. It's also important that they didn't win due to politics and virtue signaling but because of their music. That's what it should be all about.

It's good to see that they were the winners of the televote and had the support of the juries too giving legitimacy to their victory.

My prediction was right on point: the jury being conventional while the people actually demonstrate to be more wide-open to other musical spectrums. This victory will go down as one of the greatest achievements in eurovision and anybody that paid attention to that performance knew that any other outcome was out of the question.

No other country was producing so many incredible songs so consistently like Italy. The overdue narrative aligned with the quality of this song was undeniable. Believe me when i say that i'm almost as happy as when my country won.
