Take your mirror off the wall
Ain't you gettin' bored of your reflection
I'm tired of dodging all your calls
You wanna be the centre of attention

I'm gettin' sick of ya now
Stop sending flowers
I'll just burn them all
you'll cry for hours

Always putting me down
Well I got news for you
Ya say I'm usin' ya now

That's rich
When it's coming from you
That's rich
Cos I got nothing to prove
That's rich
You think i dress up for you?
That's rich
BYE BYE fool (ooww!)

Used to think I need your help
To feel good turns out i do it better
Think Maybe you should please yourself
Cos I am over you, i'll see ya never

I'm gettin' sick of ya now
Stop sending flowers
I'll just burn them all
you'll cry for hours

Always putting me down
Well I got news for you
Ya say I'm usin' ya now

That's rich
When it's coming from you
That's rich
Cos I got nothing to prove
That's rich
You think i dress up for you?
That's rich
BYE BYE fool (ooww!)

I think it's funny how you miss
When you never knew me
You were a lazy lover
I moved on to ones that move me
Loser lose your attitude
I'm doing good that's on me
All glowed up, yeah that's on me
You see me now, you want me

Bye Bye
Cause I don't need a lazy lover
Bye Bye
No I don't want to meet your mother
Bye Bye
Don't cry I'm sure you'll meet another
And you'll tell her that you love her

That's rich
When it's coming from you
That's rich
I know all of your moves
That's rich
You think i dressed up for you?
That's rich
That's rich
Yeah that's rich
When It's coming from you
That's rich

BYE BYE fool (ooww!)

If I'm Loving Me was in Melfest you'd give it at least a 7.5

Brendan Murray - Real Love = 4/10
Janet Grogan - Ashes of Yesterday = 4/10
Patrick O'Sullivan - One Night, One Kiss, One Promise = 3/10

Good gracious, this national final... there's not really much to say. I'm by no means wild for I'm Loving Me. It's a lot less fun than The Ride was and despite liking the synths, it feels kind of dull in places. I'm really being generous by putting it in green. Having said that though, it's alright, as is Brooke's That's Rich. Then we well and truly enter no man's land with what's left. I feel like Brooke might be your only option. I'm unsure if she can pass (hard to make predictions at still such an early stage) but the others all feel dead in the water unfortunately.

So the bookies have it as a two horse race between Janet and Brooke it seems. Hope Brooke can win somehow.
Let us pray she's able to pull it off live.
She's the only one being able to make Ireland survive the semis. It is just a slight chance but still a chance.
I miss Ireland in the final!

Yeah I don’t think we will qualify with any of these songs but at least Brooke has the potential for an interesting performance and I could get behind it.

Still gutted about Maps not being strong enough live, I join the voices saying :ie: is most probably NQing once again. I don't hate any of the songs, I am just absolutely indifferent to most of them.

The only exception is Rachel's I'm loving me. I don't think it could end up in my ESC top 10 or be a qualifier, but the chorus is lit, it pumps me up and I have a good time.

Ashes of Yesterday sounds like a song The Mamas had worked on and could have maaaaybe pulled off for those who like the genre, but then someone decided to abandon the arrangment process halfway through.

Having listened to them all I have to say that my favourites are Rachel Goode, Brooke, Patrick O'Sullivan. And of those I think that Goode or O'Sullivan would have the best chance in qualifying. Hell, I'm honestly surprised that O'Sullivan's track isn't being talked about more because I really think it is kind of great and could be great to hear live and with some decent staging it could make for a memorable performance at the main contest.

Though with that said I understand why more people aren't talking about it. And its the same reason that people aren't talking about the possible acts in general from Ireland this year. They are all fine and pleasant to listen to, but that is just about it. They feel like they are missing something to really knock them to the next level. I don't know what, but I hope they can figure it out before we get to the main contest in a few months time.

So glad to finally see some more love for I'm Loving Me (especially that hot 10/10 ranking from taste-legend @FabiESC )

I doubt that :ie: will be a favourite at all, but at least they've avoided the awful #2 death slot placement with their 2nd half of Semi 2 allocation, and if they can just be arsed with doing some promotion of their act in UK (get them on Graham Norton and an interview with Ken Bruce/Scott Mills on radio at the very least) then at least they might attract a few points of support from the :uk: voters in the semi.

I dreamt about Eurovision tonight (after breaking my toes and having having take 4 pain killers) and Ireland did qualify with "That's Rich". She did alright-ish with the juries but the song was tanked by the televoting.... still, qualifying for the final would be great... though I needed this to share...

Good luck, Ireland! You'll need it!

Miles Graham - Yeah, We're Going To Get Out Of It - I think it is my favourite from them, but that's not saying much.

1. Rachel Goode - I’m Loving Me 7/10
2. Janet Grogan - Ashes of Yesterday 6/10
3. Brooke - That's Rich 6/10
4. Miles Graham - Yeah, We're Going To Get Out Of It 6/10
5. Patrick O'Sullivan - One Night, One Kiss, One Promise 5/10
6. Brendan Murray - Real Love 5/10

It's another average/below average set of NF. The songs are not THAT bad. Just very average and not competitive enough. If the other countries are bringing their A-game, this is going to stay in the semi.

This year is starting not too good. All the NF I have listened to have been pretty underwhelming so far.

It seems Rachel Goode is really good live singer..

I can actually see Ireland doing really good with it in Turin!

It is so simple, yet effective, pop ESC entry, we all appreciate and support! xlove xheart

Can't wait to experience it at The Late Late show.. xheat

How it is possible that in two decades, Ireland passed from the Gold League of Eurovision to the Trash League? And seems that RTE is comfy there.
