I'm really enjoying these flashbacks through FSC-history. It's interesting to see what the tastes of FSC were back then, especially as it's still way before I joined the forum.

Second that, I think it has changed quite much though, there are still some type of entries that tend to end up be more successful, but I think FSC has gone more "indie" over the years, but it might also reflect the general musical landscape and peoples' change of taste.

Looking at the choices of previous Swedish judges, I'd say I have a quite different taste. I know this one won though, but i'm not sure how it would do in FSC today.

As for how it would do today, hard to say. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, some songs are kinda 'timeless' and would do very well at any given time in the FSC, while others are less so. Also, the 'taste' of FSC-members - and the collective 'taste' of the FSC Community - has differed over the years.
Personally I think this Swedish entry was - and is - great, but then again I love these kinds of ballads and have liked the artist ever since I saw her first time in MF, but is always a matter of musical taste, yes
Not only did it win in January 2012 but it won big with 192 points, 47 points ahead of nr 2, in an edition with 38 countries, so it was truly loved by the FSC Community at the time.

I can't believe it's been 4! years (more or less) since I sent this entry to the FSC, my second entry to the contest and my first out of total two wins since I joined.
Still one of the best Swedish pop songs of the past years.

Time sure flies, yes! I agree, a great Swedish pop-song and a very worthy winner (with 154 points, 27 points ahead of 2nd place) - and one of my favourite Swedish FSC-songs that you have sent to the contest in these 4 years (together with Agnetha Fältskog's great "I Was A Flower")

in the Norwegian jury, we finally got our 1st Norwegian winner in December 2013 with Tone Damli. It
was - and is - in my subjective opinion a simply gorgeous Norwegian ballad, which stormed to victory with
196 points from 35 nations, 67 points ahead of nr 2, a song that I think has stood the test of time well
