Ireland gave Israel the 3rd most points of any country...that sounds quite...suspicious.

Yeah ... are Irish people very pro Israel in their ''war with Hamas'' now? I don't want the discussion to turn overly political but I'm curious. I haven't heard about any sizable diaspora in Ireland or other reasons. I mean the song is quite good and not one of those highly alienating ones but I find it strange too.

Austria did not get any 12’s from the public, like Loreen…

Only 4x10’s and bunch of 8 and lower

All that excitement...to calm down I'm going to listen to "Ein bisschen Frieden" by Nicole (German ESC winner from 1982). So very nicely old-fashioned and peaceful... hred

For some reason the Australian public gave their 12 to Israel and I'm staggered.
Poland 10 even lol...

This feels very politically charged. The song was okay, but I didn't feel anything when she sang.

Ok, so it's not that. Maybe just a lot of Irish people loved the song or some small group went to cast a lot of votes only on Israel, SMH. Or simcardgate lol. I'd like to get to know the number of votes per country in the future.

The German After Show being absolutely a disgrace. Negative, body shaming, everything. Tynna being absolutely annoyed as well. The way they interpret it as a bad result. German mentality all the way.
The German media are always critical. But mainly in a good way.

I do think, though, that the big 5 tend to have too high expectations. A mid table result at Eurovision is quite good. It's not comparable to football where all the big 5 countries are among the best.

I just want to be able to enjoy Eurovision for what it is again. No one is pretending that politics, culture etc haven't played a part in the contest since it began, obviously that's going to happen when you've had 52 countries participate.

However, this is TOO MUCH, and to pretend otherwise is mildly insane.

We could have lost Eurovision tonight, it sounds dramatic, but the consequences would have been DIRE.

It's no secret that last year a lot of people that usually does not watch esc and that lean far right or conservative(whatever you prefer to call them) voted for Israel. In Portugal there were some far right influencers that openly admitted to it. It's likely that the same hapenned this year, particularly with the israeli government paying for the targeted ads asking people to vote for their song.

But imagine if Israel had won
Do you think they would allow these results or change them in order for it not to win?
