According to Wikipedia, as of 22 September 2021, the broadcasters of 33 countries have confirmed their intention to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. All of them took part in the ESC 2021.

That just leaves the following 6 countries which took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, whose participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is still unknown:
Austria
Cyprus
Moldova
North Macedonia
Russia
United Kingdom
I thought the broadcasters of those countries had until 16 September 2021 to submit their applications for participation in next year's ESC. Surely the broadcasters of those countries must have made a decision one way or the other by now.
Now for countries that didn't participate in ESC 2021 (or for several years for that matter). According to Wikipedia, Andorra, Luxembourg, Monaco and Slovakia will not participate in ESC 2022. Bosnia & Herzegovina are unlikely to return in 2022. That leaves Armenia, Hungary, Montenegro and Turkey. Any chance of any of those four returning in 2022?
