Nope, you´re not alone. I sometimes take a quick look at the betting odds, but I completely ignore the reports about the rehearsals. I wanna be suprised.

If i were to see everything on the night of the semi final, 90% of small details would went over my head, so it's better to take everything in within the next two weeks.

I cannot believe it, but it is basically the same that I got, same BOTTOM 3 in exact order, same TOP 2 in a slightly different order. I only differ slightly on 1 or 2 songs opinion-wise

MY TOP 10

10th 2011 so underwhelming. why?
9th 2013 I also did not get the hype at all and the victory felt so sour, because I was so obsessed with other songs that year
8th 2015 This is also incomprehensible to me what made juries go for this over other songs. I think it was the novel staging, which already looks old in hindsight, because the song was not original at all.
------- Zone of differences:
7th 2016 I started to like the song after the contest. I am not crazy about it, but I agree she had that moment and she felt it
6th 2018 The song is so much fun and powerful, but after 3 times, I am done with it. Fuego on the other hand, never gets old
5th 2012 It felt so right when Euphoria won, but there was actually no competition that year. And I am not sold on the everlasting hype
4th 2019 This song grew on me a lot after the contest, because it is catchy, but I am not feeling the supposed sincerity and I feel this country had more deserving songs in 2013 and 2014 and 2016
3rd 2010 This was such an exciting win, and I didn't even see it, because I was in the United States and read the news on my mobile for roughly 10 Dollars per bit or so. My heart beat faster, it almost exploded. I was starstruck.
2nd 2014 Speaking of explosive hearts, this year I will never forget. I laughed, I cried and above all I was so in love with Conchita and THIS song. She sucked out a lot of the crazy energy of Eurovision going forward, maybe a bit too much, but she made Eurovision relevant for the years to come. This song was everything, so wholesome and empowering.
1st 2017 March 5th, 2017, I woke up in excitement for the Portuguese selection. Listened to the song, and felt, wow so boring, 10 seconds, I was crying. I couldn't keep it together. 2017 was a superb year, and I loved Italy as well, but Portugal was so heartbreaking, I am happy I lived for this moment of victory. I am getting glassy eyed again. Unlike @Matt, I also get the lyrics, because I speak Spanish and get Portuguese easily

To be honest, I think I am going to stop following the rehearsals real time and read the commentaries so diligently. I feel burnt out and "stressed" because my favourites are not doing well with the fandom. It should be a fun and enjoyable experience to watch Eurovision.

I am just going to watch those clips on the ESC channel, read the forums' comments and that's it.
At the end of the day, whatever opinions by these fan sites or how the odds are doing do not matter, the fate of an entrant lies entirely on the juries and the public and that itself is a big unknown.

I try to avoid rehearsal pics and clips but I do like to know what's going on, who is doing well, who is struggling.

I haven't watched any of the clips thus far, I made it my mission not to intently follow the rehearsals this year. The only thing I want to watch tomorrow is Gjon's meet and greet session

I don't know if a post here is the best way to advertise it (maybe there should be a thread about it? IDK), but RAI has randomly uploaded a bunch of clips with interviews/covers/Eurovision songs with the Eurovision 2021 artists on their streaming website called Italian Eurovision Party (link). I have no idea if a VPN is needed or if someone already advertised it on the forum, but I found nothing in the Italy thread or in the general discussion board, so here it is.
