I would be happy with both greek-pop and latino-pop. Having read what you think about Despacito I can see your point... As for me on the other hand: I had Despacito downloaded on my playlist made in January 2017 - and I am still a big fan of it! xsing...Deja que te diga cosas al oido... xmusicxmusic

There are some good Latin-Pop, but it just feels kinda random for Greece which has its own type of music and also not a huge fan of jumping on a bandwagon...

I much prefer Luis Fonsi feat. Demi Lovato - "Échame la Culpa" xmusic

It's an entire genre of music and there is more to it than the big hits. Yeah there is mediocre songs, but on the point of despacito and echame la culpa. Both are super great and i would be thrilled if Fuego is anything like them, although I do expect a more greek style song.

Echame la Culpa is very enjoyable as well.
But even though a latin song was the world wide number one in 2017 I dont think that bringing latin pop to the Eurovision necessarily means jumping on a bandwagon. It has been done before as well. Even Norway did a pathetic try on latin-pop back in 2007. And other countries than Spain has sung in spanish.

We didn't disbelieve you, but rather sources like Oikotimes that tend to be... well... not really correct many times..

But now that it's properly confirmed,,, I'm excited xcheer

Oikotimes is not a reliable source, but infegreece.gr is.

2017 saw quite handful of latin-Pop hits, it might have been the "best year" for Spanish language latin-Pop ever... so it's definitely a trend ...

You made a good example of why countries shouldn't try on local flavored styles that aren't their own

You liked it? I love it.

It still haunts me and I have given it new lyrics and make my baby crack up in laughter. So inspirational ...

"Después haber comido, I wanna have a chocolate cake
Let's feel the heat, of the bit of chocolate cake,
da da da
después haber comido.

"

Best Norwegian entry ever after Nocturne.

The song is in english. My guess is that Foureira said the line in english and infe translated it for the greek users of their site.

So, aparentely Eleni is victim of racism in both :cy: and :gr: due her Albanian roots: Yesterday Eva Diva ( :cy: NF 2015) say in her interview on TVOne said that Eleni Foureira should've represent Albania this year instead of Cyprus or Greece because Albania is her homeland and these statements have caused a lot of controversy on both Cyprus & Greece.

Also she said in the same interview that many guys want to marry her but they are disappearing when they are hearing about her husband. Rightfully so because her husband is the president of a Nazi political party who hates immigrants and others.

I've just suddenly gone off her and her song. :? What an absolute moronic thing for her to come out with. Literally no words. xfacepalm

According to a source (well, himself) Anderz Wrethov has also written the song. Source:https://twitter.com/LadyJenevia/status/962448976334262272

I'm jinxing it now. Will Cyprus get their best placing ever?

In his Instagram re-post, Alex P tagged Anderz Wrethov, Didrick, Teddy Sky and Viktor Svensson.

Viktor and Teddy are part of Alex P's group "VAX". Viktor was also on "La La Love" a few years ago.

Didrick is part of the group "Ember Island".

Alex, Anderz and Viktor were all on Margaret's "Cool Me Down".

Sounds very promising, but let's not get our hopes up too high so we won't be let down even with a great song. :p
