Re: ARMENIA 2012

As long as they aren't gonna use 2 word titles, I'll be happy.

I liked almost all of Armenia's entry, so I wouldn't doubt their capabilities in sending good songs. Maybe an ethno-pop, or etho-dance song. Even and ethno-rock would be good as long as it has more ethno than rock.

Re: ARMENIA 2012

Wasn't Eva Rivas from 2010 wanting to represent Armenia again in 2012?

Also, I think that Armenia should participate in Eurovision next year. Eurovision should be a time when all countrys can put aside any political problems and just focus on the music and excitement of it all. If anything, Armenia should 'fight back' by spending extra time getting someone who will have a good chance at winning and will be a simple favourite (like Lena or Alexander Rybak), rather than just not even trying. That would definitely make their participation worth it!

Re: ARMENIA 2012

Do you think AMPTV will internally select another pretty girl and do a NF with some songs ? ;)

no I don't think that a female singer would go.it's time for male singers/bands such SOAD(who knows maybe they'll agree) .DORIANS(most discussed now).Razmik Amyan(u may remember him from last years Nf)

Agreed. No one does ethno better than Armenia. It would also be strange in an occasion so charged with nationalistic significance for there to be nothing Armenian in the song.

Armenia should participate. No one (at least among western casual fans) would notice a boycott. Being there is the braver option.

Armenians on the forum, what do you say about a switch with the azeris?

If Azerbaijan decides to debut in JESC in Yerevan this autumn, would the chances for an Armenian song in Baku next year increace? Wouldn't it be a historical moment, when two countries that has been in a loooong feud accepts each other and compets on each others home ground? :) Do you think it can happen?

if they decide to debut in JESC in Yerevan this autumn they are welcome .but I don't think that our chances would increase or decrease with their coming or not coming.
our chances would increase firstly if Azerbaijan gives as guarantees , to our deelegation and what most important Armenian eurofans .and secondly, Armenian society should decide whether to go or not .

you also could read through the article that posted ithacanexile.very interesting btw .
anyway if Azerbaijan decides to debut in JESC in Yerevan they are welcome , and their fans too ;)

The Head of the Broadcaster hinted that they will start discussing their participation after JESC. In December.

I'd love to see System Of A Down on ESC. Although I am aware that such wish is quite unrealistic (sadly). I think SOAD would've rocked the stage with a good song.

I hope, they will participate in Baku.
It would be the false sign to withdraw now.
@Milos-BC: System Of a Down would be very nice :-)

I think now is the time for Armenia to ask System of a Down to represent them, if they get kicked out for being political, then they can hold their heads high
