I doubt they will compete, don't these countries seriously hate each other?

Georgia withdrew from Moscow so I imagine Armenia will withdraw from Baku.

They should participate. I don't want to see any country to withdraw doesn't matter whatever the reason is.

I think there'll be another Georgia 2009 thing here. They'll enter but they'll choose a song specifically to get disqualified.

Maybe SOAD with the political song they always wanted? I dunno

Re: ARMENIA 2012

I read this :

"ANS TV, Azerbaijan
Dec 27 2006

As a sovereign country, Azerbaijan had the right to bar pianist Burak
Bedikyan, a Turkish national of Armenian origin, from entering the
country. In view of this, the Azerbaijani government does not intend
to issue any statement, the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
department for press and information policy, Tahir Tagizada, has
told ANS.

Ceyhun Mammadov, adviser at the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey, has
told ANS that they [as heard] should have applied for visas to come
to Azerbaijan, which they did not do. On the other hand, a concert
involving an Armenian is inappropriate in Azerbaijan, which is at war
[with Armenia].

The Turkish TV channel Kanal D reported earlier that a Turkish pianist
of Armenian origin, Burak Bedikyan, who arrived in Baku together
with singer Sertab Erener on 19 December, had been denied entry into
Azerbaijan and sent back home."

? Quid ?

I want Armenia in Eurovision 2012, even if it is in Baku. Azerbaijan is welcome to Junior Eurovision 2011 in Yerevan as well, I just don't want politics in the Eurovision SOng Contests.

Bs #2.

Once they come back from Dusseldorf there will be a press conference where they announce if they stay or not.
Tomorrow or in a few days.

Personally I'd like to see Azerbaijan on JESC in Yerevan and Armenia on ESC in Baku.

Armenia should participate in Eurovision 2012 in Baku. I am sure there will be no problems from Azerbaijani side at all and security for Armenian participants will be quaranteed.

^I'm sure of that. There was no security problems with the Bosnian and Croatian delegations in Belgrade 2008 so I don't imagine there will be any in Baku with the Armenians.
