So guys, as some of you may know 23 is the lucky Illumian number. This special number has made history in Illumia, most of the times we won in some contest it was marked with number three; for example draw 23 for Ronya brought victory to Illumia in WLSC 19 or the most recent NSC 99 win where we were listed as 23rd voter... the list goes on in other contests Illumia took part in. NSC 105 will be the 23rd edition for Illumia, and it's Illumian equivalent for 50th or 100th anniversary. To celebrate this glorious occasion I decided to do a 23 days long countdown of all Illumian entries ending with the 23rd entry that will represent us in NSC 105. So lets begin:
As our debut entry I've decided to send one of my all time favorite songs, singer and woman. I like to call her a pop goddess because unlike many other performers in the mainstream pop music her songs are meaningful, emotional, personal and relatable. Robyn has grown into an icon of pop, but also to a gay icon. Dancing On My Own is an unusual heartbreak pop song where she manages to avoid the clichees of the same genre. The song has powerful yet emotional lyrics with great electro sound, making it suitable for mainstream radio stations. But that's not unusual for Robyn as her previous singles like With Every Heartbeat and Be Mine carry the same theme and message and have met with the same success. Enjoy listening to our first entry:
