My review:

Ok, so in a sea of bland ballads, this one really stands out as a mid-tempo ballad with actual personality and character, memorable melody and modern professional production (which can't be said about most of the others). Nice indie-Pop mood, a big plus with the Dutch language, nice vocals and generally the mood really talks to me. If more countries would understand that if you send a ballad, it shouldn't be formulaic, it should actually talk to your heart like this one does, then this year would be much better. One of the best Dutch entries that I can think of actually, maybe not on the level of Duncan and some older Dutch entries, but for sure one of the stronger entries they sent in the past decades. For sure a top 10 (or higher) for me

I used to live in Amsterdam for several years... My life there was so completely carefree. I went to work and after I went to parties, next day back to work with a hangover. Dutch people are on the weird side but not annoying weird.
I like the song and I think it is quite Dutchy. I prefer Amsterdam Amsterdam, gay people went nuts when they played that song and I thought it was a folklore traditional Dutch song.
This has not much relation with Esc but I wanted to write it. Besides Dutch men are really tall.

In the music video, you can see her get her neck tattooed by her boyfriend and she even has his name tattooed on her arm. Then they are broken up and she is stuck with his name on her arm. Am I supposed to feel sorry for her when I see this or to get emotional? I think this only makes her look like a total moron. I'm surprised they decided to tell such a story in the music video because it makes it look like the song is just the whining of a stupid girl. What do people see in this?

I didn't really analyze the video. I just watched it and then couldn't help but think that she looks like a total fool, although the song is supposed to tell an emotional story. Of course, I'm not the biggest fan of tattoos anyway, so I might just not be the right target group for this.

Well, they do accept Italian and French too (it was like that during the 100% jury era too), that's true (as long as they are safe ballads, they didn't fully get behind either Mahmood or Måneskin).

You can’t compare songs in French or Italian since these are usually considered as high quality, sophisticated, extravagant (going back to the times of chanson, it has this fashionable vibe).

Pretty sure juries won’t appreciate an approach in let‘s say Finnish, Croatian or - like in this case - Dutch.

What I am really afraid of is it won’t stand out enough. Moldova will have a greater impact on the casual viewer, especially from Eastern Europe.

I think i like tall men because when I was younger and beautiful I thought I was bottom bc my thingie was average but with the passing of years it has grown quite a lot so now i top bc with my hanging thingie men just offer me their rears...so it is ok with me.
And tall bottom men is like a shift on power. Supposedly the taller is the physically stronger and therefore the top (yes i know this might sound oldfashioned and whatever) and the shorter being the top turns me on... I am weird... I love huge feet too.

This is why all countries should send songs in their native language. I always thought the Dutch song was a mystical and philosophical song about the depth of our souls or any shit like that... If now you are telling me the song is about the end of love....

The body can change a lot during puberty.

I can understand why guys who would normally be seen as the bottom, like shorter twinks, might especially enjoy topping a tall masculine otter. I think I'm just more practical about such matters. I like it when guys cook for me, for example. Like when they host and get hungry after sex, and then you get something to eat too because you're still around. I really like that, but height isn't doing anything for me.

Makes me wonder what went wrong in the Dutch relationship in that music video. I just know that getting a stupid tattoo was not the reason for the breakup. That video really makes one ponder all kinds of deep questions about life...
