Turns out I remember the Spanish song after all (as well as the backup singers which went to be bigger stars in their country than the actual main singer). The rest I really don't. A handful of good songs in this years' edition. The Greek entry was just so catchy and (aesthetically) different, the French song was a strong power ballad and the winning song (Latvia) certainly put a smirk to everybody's face by the end of its performance. I just don't get why the song I'm picking as my number one was actually voted last. The vocal ability is nothing outstanding, I'm aware, but what's there to dislike, really? I can only think of the unusual positioning on stage (which made her perform with her back turned to the front row audience, whom had only the backup singers ahead of them). But if that's anyone's fault then it's of the way the stage was built up that year. Maybe it could be because of backstage stuff that went on, wouldn't know about that...
